Meet Moris Zingman | Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Moris Zingman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Moris, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing outsiders are probably unaware of about working as a producer at a YouTube Production is that the production operates like a full-scale film studio, not a typical YouTube channel. Behind the short, fast-paced videos is a highly structured system with departments for writing, casting, costume design, production design, and post-production, all synchronised through detailed scheduling, daily stand-ups, and even a 24-hour global production cycle to maintain speed without sacrificing quality. It’s a cinematic-level operation adapted for the digital age.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art lives at the intersection of cinema and the fast-paced digital world, and what sets it apart is the fusion of traditional filmmaking techniques with the demands of modern platforms like YouTube. I come from a short film background, where every second matters, and I’ve carried that precision, emotional depth, and visual storytelling into the content I produce for Alan’s Universe channel.
What I’m most proud of is building a full-scale production system from the ground up, a structure that tripled the channel’s audience in just a year and helped us reach over 88 million subscribers. It wasn’t easy. When I first joined, there was incredible creative potential, but no unified system to bring it all together. Implementing studio-level departments, establishing 24-hour global production cycles, and syncing teams across time zones took vision, coordination, and a lot of problem-solving.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success in digital media doesn’t come from chasing trends; it comes from building with intention, caring deeply about your craft, and staying relentlessly organised. YouTube isn’t just a platform; it’s an ecosystem, and to thrive in it, you need heart and structure.
What I want the world to know is this: cinematic storytelling isn’t confined to the big screen anymore. We’re proving that short—and long-form digital content can be just as moving, visually rich, and impactful. That’s the mission and the magic behind the work I do every day.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting LA for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of iconic landmarks, local gems, and creative energy. We’d start with a sunset at Griffith Observatory for breathtaking city views, then grab coffee at Motoring Coffee, where vintage cars add a nostalgic vibe. A visit to In-N-Out Burger is a must, especially the secret menu, followed by a beach day in Venice. We’d explore LA’s artsy side with visits to The Broad or Getty Museum, and check out the Arts District. A day at Universal Studios or a movie screening at Hollywood Forever would bring in that Hollywood magic. We’d also hike Runyon Canyon, brunch at République, and chill by Echo Park Lake. To wrap it all up, we’d visit Santa Monica Pier and ride the rollercoaster.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A huge recognition goes to Alan Chikin Chow, one of the most talented and visionary creators I’ve had the privilege to work with. His charisma, creative energy, and fearless commitment to pushing boundaries have been a constant source of inspiration. Working alongside Alan has not only challenged me to think bigger but has also been instrumental in shaping the way we approach storytelling in the digital space. His trust and openness to innovation have allowed us to build truly special content together.
