Meet Morris Eaddy | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Morris Eaddy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morris, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had seen artwork in many galleries and events and I kept thinking to myself, I’d do it differently. So, it sparked my desire to create my own artworks in my own style.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Influenced by street art/graffiti aesthetics, Morris Eaddy (MeArt) uses online social media as his inspiration. Accentuating hands and point-of-view perspectives in everyday life defines his style. From online to sketchbook, his illustrations result in screen prints, stickers, stencils, wheat pastes and t-shirts. MeArt started creating more of his recent art after attending a class at Art Center at Night in Pasadena. This class sparked his screen printing desire and lead him to start drawing in a sketchbook almost daily, then turning some of his drawings into screen prints. His love of drawing fuels his passion. Up to this date, MeArt has created public artworks, participated in live painting events, and has been a featured artist in many festivals and art shows.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the Arts District in downtown L.A. Great food, great coffee and lots of street art to photograph.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Art Center at Night in Pasadena for igniting the spark in me to start seriously creating. The Sherman Oaks Chamber for sponsoring my utility box murals. My partner, Ron for always supporting my artistic visions.
