We had the good fortune of connecting with Myeoshe’ Marie Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myeoshe’ Marie, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Yes. My favorite quote is “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” by William Shakespeare

It means some people are born into power, others work for it and others are forced to accept their purpose.

I love this quote so much because it gives a distinction of Greatness on life and how we all have a God given purpose here on this earth.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have a 501c(3) nonprofit called F.A.C.E. (Fearless, Artisitc, Charisma, Elegance) our mission is to empower the aged and the infirm to become independent, fearless and assertive. Exposing them to self love and becoming comfortable in their own skin. This will inspire them to walk in their divine purpose without fear but knowing all power lies within them. We have programs for personal development, financial literacy, grief, sexual/ domestic violence and many more. What sets me apart is I build my programs around the hardship and what I’ve experienced in life. I believe that every trial and tribulation I’ve gone through has allowed me to build an avenue to help others. I am proud of our annual event Conversations of An Unspoken Truth this event is women ages 16 and older gear towards sexual/ domestic violence seeing the freedom it brings to the women lights my heart. Business wise I got here through trial and error, learning from my mistakes and never giving up on vision that was placed inside me. It was not an easy task at all especially when you feel like things are not moving at the speed you’d like but perseverance is the name of the game. I overcame the challenges through prayer and mediation and staying true to who I am. The lessons I’ve learned along the way are that consistency is key and that everybody doesn’t see the vision that doesn’t mean it’s not there. I want the world to know F.A.C.E. is about the world it’s not a Soul we can’t save.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go eat at 1010 lounge in Inglewood and The district on Crenshaw. The Nile bar for great drinks and music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes I absolutely would like to shout out to God for gifted me with F.A.C.E. it’s an honor and a privilege to be a part of such a purpose and being a servant to my community. And also my past mentors that helped me along the way Dr. Patricia Lyons and Dr. Obalajii always instills the courage and lessons of what it takes to be a great leader. The late author Louis L. Hay she wrote “You can Heal your Life” that book changed my life and gave me the confidence and understanding that I’m the Co- creator of my life and that I can always rewrite my story. My beloved late parents Ms. Dorothy Marie Booker and Rev. John A. Edwards for being great examples of what strength looks like in face of adversity and their words of wisdom and their endless love and support.
