We had the good fortune of connecting with Mykell Mathieu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mykell, how do you think about risk?
I believe that we really have one life to live. So, I believe that we are meant to give all we have to be as great as possible. We are meant to empty ourselves during our lifetime being great for self and others. Taking the risk needed is to make great things possible. Taking risk with my career has led to a lot of great connections and opportunities I couldn’t miss out on. You must take risk to achieve career goals and I will continue to do so.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
With the my work as a podcaster, personality & entrepreneur I would say the hard work has truly paid off. It hasn’t been easy but it has been worth. I have learned through the years, that if you want to accomplish greatness you will have to deal with tough times. I’ve overcome the struggles so far by applying Mamba Mentality & like Nipsey taught us to never quit because it’s truly a marathon. I want people to know about my brand that greatness is being reach by being relentless and never quitting. I’m just a guy from South Central LA that has seen tough times and failures. But that’s not where my story will stop. I will keep pushing forward until I reach beyond where I ever imagined!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would have to take them hiking in Hollywood, Pasadena and San Pedro. We would of course have to visit Venice and Santa Monica beaches. Hang downtown at LA Live and go visit the Pike as well. I would then look to take them to my several studios to show them how I work. Maybe enjoy a night out and pretty much enjoy the weather here in LA.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give credit to who I am so far to God first because without Him I wouldn’t have the faith I do in myself and my dreams. I also have to thank my parents and grandparents for the love taught to me and them pushing me to reach the highest heights. My brother & sister for dealing with me all these years and all my friends for being by my side. Of course my team at TGN (The Good News Radio & Podcast Network, my co-host of Don’t @ Me Alex Hymes and my co-host of COURTSIDE Radio.
