Meet Myriam Nowara Schragger | Skincare Developer, Organic Chemist, Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Myriam Nowara Schragger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myriam, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
No compromise in choosing the best and healthiest ingredients for my skincare line.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Formulating skincare is my passion which I didn’t know I had until 6years ago. When I got diagnosed with breast cancer. Before I was working as a Creative Director in advertising and was later teaching Design as a professor.

I called my skincare business Lyquid Poetry because every product I create have a story, a purpose of healing your skin and body.
It is like creating a super sensual poem which consists of smell, feel, look with touching all senses.

I think the big difference to other skincare lines is that I am creating the formulation myself without just putting my name on prefabricated white labels cosmetics.

My deepest intention is to heal others and make them happy if they see the results on their skin.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the things in LA is that there are so many beautiful hiking areas. For example the Topanga State Park hike. The perfect after hike lunch break is for me at this enchanted restaurant in Topanga “Inn of the Seventh Ray”.

I am a total farmers market lover. I would take them to my favorite market on Wednesday in Santa Monica.

And an absolute highlight is for me a Korean Spa Day including a good soak and a scrub.
I usually go to the Wi-Spa or Olympic Spa (ladies only). A Korean barbecue and some shaved ice cream makes the day perfect!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Mara Scalise! I am a big fan of her Fine Jewlery, her entrepreneurship and this deep spiritual female energy which she exudes in her Jewlery. She is a networking powerhouse and an inspiring force in supporting women. Marascalise.com
