Meet Nadia Pignataro | Content Creator & Mental Health Advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Pignataro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nadia, what are you inspired by?
I am deeply inspired by emotion and vulnerability. Since I was a teenager, I really struggled with mental health. I never heard many people discuss mental health and I felt like I was alone in my struggles. As I got older, I realized there was an aspect of authenticity that was missing on social media. I wanted to be the person to start being honest and show parts of reality that not many people see, especially online. I love connecting with other people and hearing their stories. That is truly what inspires me and I think human connection and love is what we were meant for!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think everyone has a unique perspective to offer seeing as how we have all grown up differently and have different mindsets. I always try to keep it real online and feel I have built a small community of followers who value and can relate to the things I go through and share. While I love styling and creative directing, I also love to talk. I love to share stories and get deep with people. Whether I’m sharing a shoot I styled, talking about something dumb I did, or sharing a struggle, I try to stay vulnerable which I feel is what sets me apart. I am nowhere near where I want to be, but I am proud of what I have built thus far. It has been a challenge for me as I struggle heavily with imposter syndrome. I often want to quit and wonder if what I am doing and saying even matters. Luckily, I have amazing friends who push me and remind me of how far I have come and the kind of impact I can make if I keep going. The message I really want to get across is that everyone matters and everyone deserves to be heard and loved. I think everyone needs a community and that is what I hope to build. A community where everyone can come together and share their experiences. People need to know that they are NOT alone <3

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
OMG. I love planning trips lol so this would be a blast for me. Since I do love fashion, I always look up trendy restaurants and then match my outfit according to the vibe so we can get some content in of course hehe. I would definitely take my bestie to my fav coffee spot, Alfred for a morning pick me up. I would then take her shopping at century city mall or the grove. We would get brunch of course at the Beverley Hills hotel and then go to Runyon for a sunset hike. On the weekends I would take her to Catch LA which is one of my other favorite rooftop restaurants, then we would go to Santa Monica and bar hop for the night. Honestly, I am a pretty extroverted person, so I naturally talk and meet new people pretty much anywhere I go, but I have been finding that I have been meeting a lot of interesting people when I hang out in areas other than my normal spots. I think it’s important to step out of your comfort zone and explore in order to meet new people and expand outside of your normal friend group!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I 1000% have to thank my family for all of their love, support, and encouragement. I also want to thank my close friends for always believing in me, putting me on to new opportunities, and reminding me that I can do ANYTHING I want in this life. The possibilities are endless and I am more than capable of accomplishing all my dreams
