We had the good fortune of connecting with Nana Churcher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nana, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is defined as willing to take an action that involves danger in the hope of a desired result. Risk is huge and one has to examine and understand when getting into business or even a relationship.

I think risk allows us to confront our fears and the uncertainty of the future. You’ve got to be in touch with a much greater purpose in life to take risks..

Taking risks has mad me believe anything is possible. It has helped me take on new challenges even when people said it was impossible. When I decided to start my talk show, ‘The Nana Churcher Show’ I did not have enough money to pay a videographer, but I didn’t allow that to be an obstacle. Today the show is going strong and through that written a book ‘The Power of Your Words’ and second a book ‘BIGGER DREAMS’.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an award winning talk show host, Founder and CEO of Nana Churcher Multimedia and host of my own show The Nana Churcher Show which encourages excellence and spreads positivity. I interview celebrities, business professionals and people doing extraordinary things in the community with previous seasons airing on Voxafrica TV, ABN TV, across Africa and Europe and also TV3 network in Ghana. The Nana Churcher Show has also featured and interviewed celebrities at the Essence Festival, BET Awards, Grammys and Oscars in United States.

I believe each and everyone of us have greatness in them and the aim of the show is to ignite it.

What sets me apart is my communicating skills and passion for my work. I do engaged very well with my guest and audience and lives are transformed at the end of the day.

Being a Talk Show Host is a childhood dream come true and I have worked very hard at it. I took a course to harness my talent with ‘Become a Host’ Television Hosting Academy in Los Angeles and still continue to learn everyday to better myself.

It hasn’t been an easy journey. It’s very expensive to produce a show, I had no money to pay for a videographer, studio and even afford my wardrobe. I had so much rejections from sponsors and celebrities as I was the new kid on the block I almost gave up. I kept at it. I became a beauty consultant to raise money for my show and my husband helped me as well as some friends. I believed in my dreams.

The lessons I have learnt along the way is to have self belief, be passionate about your work, to be discipline and consistent.
I have also learnt how to add value to myself, make people feel important when they are around me, not to be afraid in taking risk and enjoy the journey.

I want the world to know dreams really can come true if you work hard at it There is a well of greatness in each and everyone of us and our success stories counts. My brand message is to live your God given purpose and be true to yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
With so many world famous sites and attractions deciding to tour L.A. can be quiet a task. I will take my friend 0n the Infamous TMZ bus tour, stroll along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, go to Griffith Park and Griffith Observatory, get close to the Hollywood Sign.

Another visit will be to Universal Studios and Walt Disney Studio, Other places to go would be the Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach and Boardwalk. For concert visit Walt Disney Concert Hall, for shopping i will go to Rodeo Drive and The Grove. and for food will visit Grand Central Market, Third Street Promenade and it’s legendary Wednesday morning farmers’ market,
