We had the good fortune of connecting with Narumi Ogawa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Narumi, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Some people call me a healer or bodyworker, but the real premise of my work is to teach my clients that the power to heal is already within them.

My mission is to help people understand that it is their birthright to be healthy, happy and abundant in all aspects of their lives. And while the healing journey can take time, each step along the way provides an opportunity to tap into a multitude of benefits that can allow them to become more centered, empowered and even look and feel sexier! This is because my system of holistic remedies and techniques called, The Ogawa Method, not only heals the body but also focuses on matters of the heart. When clients leave my treatment room, they leave with a sense of wholeness. With their bodies, minds and spirits rejuvenated, they are able to actualize the best versions of themselves.

This quote from Joe Dispenza embodies my process.
“To be empowered—to be free, to be unlimited, to be creative, to be genius, to be divine—that is who you are…. Once you feel this way, memorize this feeling; remember this feeling. This is who you really are….”

What should our readers know about your business?
My journey was not always an easy one. I was raised in Tokyo, Japan by parents were very religious.. My upbringing was chaotic and unsafe. As a result, I suffered from severe depression and anxiety, oftentimes to the point of being suicidal.

At 20-years-old, I decided to leave my family to move to America by myself. Although it was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done, in hindsight, I am grateful for the gifts that blossomed from this challenging period in my life. These experiences helped me to become a more compassionate, loving, kind and forgiving person.

“One of my teachers taught me that chaos is our friend. Initially, I questioned this concept because when I thought of chaos, I thought of things being confusing and out of control for no reason. But when he explained that chaos is a necessary part of a continuum of energy fields apart and reforming into new energy fields leading to the Universal Energy Field, the force that governs and directs Life itself, it all started to make sense.

In a nutshell, chaos precedes change. So, in order for any person, place or thing to change restructuring and reorganization must occur before it transforms into the next version of itself. With this new understanding, I was able to see that the painful experiences I had had were actually a necessary and valuable part of my learning and growth.

During my journey, I discovered how to harness this power within myself and when I began to intentionally invest in healing ALL aspects of my body, mind and spirit, I was able to envision and then create a new and exciting reality!

Because I was able to so radically transform my life for the better, I have dedicated my practice to helping as many people as possible do the same. With each session, I guide my clients to tune into their bodies, connect the dots between their personal trauma, physical ailments and ultimately find the solutions from within. My hope is that they will slow down, become present and listen to their bodies. From this place, I help them to choose the best treatments that make it easier for them to achieve their desired results using natural remedies, rather than turning to quick fixes like prescription drugs or alcohol.

Ultimately, I want to help people elevate their vibration, so they can live their life from a higher dimension of themselves — tapping into the infinite pool of potential and possibilities available for living their best lives!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love taking my friends for a hike! Two of my favorite places are Angeles National Forest and Temescal Canyon Park. I would also love to take friends or family to Huntington Library, Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades, or Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia to experience the serenity and beauty of Nature. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel blessed and grateful to have had so many incredible teachers over the years, whether in person, online or in spirit. One that particularly stands out is Dr. Joe Dispenza. His books and lectures changed my life!

In addition the works of Dr. Bruce Lipton Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Abraham Hicks, Louise Hay, Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Jack Canfield, Tony Robbins, Master Stephen Co have also had a major impact in helping me to better myself physically, emotionally and spiritually.
