We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalia Mav and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalia, how do you think about risk?
When I first started my business I left a stable job with the risk of not receiving any source of income. I started from nothing as a personal trainer and gradually built up my business over the years. After 4 years of being a personal trainer and being successful in the industry I took another big step and also risk in doing a fitness app, I put all of my life savings into it with no guarantee of a return. Those are by far my risks I have taken in my career
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When it comes to the Natalia Mav brand I connected on many levels with my clients and followers due to that I was very relatable. I was never an athlete, or a fitness guru from young. I was very self conscious of my physical and mental health. I was just a plain girl that had a goal and achieved it with hard work. I started with no experience in the gym, after posting my very own transformations online I built up a following as many people were inspired in how I achieved my fitness goal. With all of the Enquiries and questions I received a light bulb went off in my head. I said Natalia, you love training and what you do, just turn it into a business. The rest is history
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love Melbourne, I would have to say we are one of the most beautiful cuties in the world with amazing culture, food, coffee and great nightlife. My favourite restaurant in which I always take my friends to is Rockpool at the crown casino, I love the Emerson for a few drinks too. I love going for a walk in the city at Collins and Bourke street as the shopping is amazing.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My business partner Peter was there with me along the way throughout my journey, I don’t know where I would be today without him.
