We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Sakamoto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
One of the most important lessons I have learned over the years, not just as a business owner but also as an employee was the value of my time. When you choose to work for someone or for yourself, you are either choosing how much your time is worth or someone will determine how much it is for you.

The more years of experience and expertise you have the more value your time is worth. That’s is why I prefer to be an entrepreneur, I set my value. I also take the time to make sure I continue to grow and learn and so I can be the best version of myself for my clients, and my family.

You only have 1 thing in life you can not get back, and that is time. How much are you willing to sell your time for.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I do is fairly niche in a unconventional arena. There is no specific name for what I do, but my business partner and to put it easily consider ourselves Biofrequency Specialist.

Our expertise is in frequency therapies to help support the body in healing and optimization. The core of our knowledge is first in how the body’s frequency and voltage works on a cellular and system level. Understanding that frequency is at the base of everything. The first sign of life is the heart beat, the electrical impulse, the human frequency.
Every cell in your body works on, and communicates with frequency. The importance of understanding how that affects every aspect of how our body functions allows us to evaluate, and treat, and restore biological frequency.
There are several tools in our practice that we use to help our clients restore their cellular voltage, and we strive to always be on top of all the latest technology.

I love what I do because it is truly nothing new, but the idea of taking care of your health with frequency is usually looked at as “woo woo”, and what I do is all based on research and science. Apparently thousands of years of understanding energy flow isn’t as valued and the science and research.

I myself have been in the Massage and Bodywork industry for nearly 25 years, so since I was able to work I have been always geared to helping people. I was fortunate to meet my business partner Danielle Palmer when I was managing a college of massage therapy, while she was one of the students. She is the one who introduced me into the world of frequency.

3 years ago is when I joined Danielle in practice, and I could not imagine that 3 years later, we would be scaling to the degree we are. We were just the two of us as practitioners splitting our time between clinics, Ascent Adaptation in Costa Mesa, and The Center for New Medicine in Irvine.
To now growing a team of technicians and practitioners, and working on an educational platform to help others understand the importance of frequency.
Doing what I love has literally brought me all over the world, I have been very fortunate to be able to all that I have done in the past 3 years.

I am so glad I took this leap into entrepreneurship, it isn’t easy, there are so many hats to wear, but truly if you are doing the right things for the right reasons, good things will come. The universe has really provided so many amazing opportunities, that I know I am doing what I am supposed to.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am born and raised in North Orange County, there is so much to do here that isn’t going to Disneyland. The beaches are always so enjoyable, and each beach really offers something different. Huntington is one of my favorites because it has so much to do there and the people watching is always five star.

Truly, I love spending time in the canyon (Silverado, Blackstar, Trabuco) I love a little bit of hidden wilderness in the middle of all the cookie cutter that the OC is known for. Also there is a great dive bar (Cooks Corner) and steak house (Trabuco Oaks) out in the canyon.

When it comes to eating out, what I enjoy most is, we have so many ethnicities represented in Orange County it really just depends on what you are in the mood for. But, if you are in SoCal, you know there will always be amazing Mexican food, whether is an established restaurant or a taco pop-up in front of a retail spot, there are really so many hidden gems.

It has been some time that I have done many of these things, now a days I am much more well versed in Zoos, and parks. All my time that I am not spending on my business is with my family and my amazing little girl. One of our favorite places to go (besides the beach) is Irvine Regional Park. There is so much to do at that park with a train, the zoo, playgrounds and horseback riding. Every time you visit you can do something completely different than the time before.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many facets to my journey to get to where I am today, it will not be easy to shout out everyone.

Firstly the most important component to my success is my husband Aki Sakamoto. He saw something in me I didn’t even know I had, and every day he tells me I am not the same person he met nearly a decade ago. He was able to help me grow, heal, learn and tap into my potential in all aspects of my life. I am thankful everyday that I have him as my person.

The next shout out goes to all the people who were part of my journey at National Holistic Institute (NHI), where I spent nearly a decade of my career as an instructor and a manager. There I was able to grow professionally and personally in a way I didn’t even imagine, I was able to hone in my skills by teaching others, helping not just learn the art of massage, but life skills, communication, community and so much more. Each staff and student that I worked with taught me something new.

Lastly, the reason I get to do this Shoutout, my business partner Danielle Palmer. We met when she was a student and I was the Campus Manager at NHI, and we instantly clicked. She was a powerhouse (and still is), she runs 100 miles a minute. She is one of the most knowledgeable and charismatic people I know. She sees the best in everyone and tries to highlight that in each person, helping make connections to grow an amazing collective of people who have a healing centered mindset. The mindset to help others be the best version of themselves. I am thankful she saw in me something that aligned, and here we are today trying to grow the understanding of human BioFrequency and how we can help others understand the least understood aspect of human anatomy, frequency.
