Meet Nate Boclair Iv | Brand Ambassador

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nate Boclair Iv and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nate, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have always been into fashion ever since a young boy. Always wanted to wear suits like my grandfather who was the president of a HBCU and learned to become versatile from my Auntie who kept me with the latest streetwear. I never really had a thought process about it until one day I posted a GRWM with Paper Planes Clothes(Emory Jones x Jay Z Clothing Brand) and the management team reached out in my DM asking if I could do some more work for them. After that everything just started to fall into my lap. Creed was the next big deal, collaborating with Dillards, then Steve Madden, to my latest deal with Tom Ford. It’s truly all been a huge blessing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I travel around the world and create content for brands. A lot of people don’t know but I deal with Anxiety/Mental Health at times and it is a great outlet to help me release. I feel free everytime I’m in front of the camera. It truly gives me life and makes me happy! It actually comes easy to me because I used to be a rapper back in the day, so it’s second nature for me! I have learned so much in this career with networking and building relationships that will last a lifetime! I want the world to know that this is just the beginning for me. I have only been doing this for a year and look how far God has taken me. The ultimate goal is to be over marketing for a brand and also start my own fashion line.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Depending on the time of year I would anchor their trip going to a sporting event whether it’s a Laker game for basketball or a NFL game with the Chargers or Rams. Before you walk in to staples grab a bite from a black owned resturant called fixins headed by former NBA player Kevin Johnson. for brunch Catch is a great place for a nice rooftop vibe. also Ep & Lp is a go to as well with unmatched views of hollywood hills & great drinks. Maybe do a little shopping on Rodeo for high end fashion .For a night cap check out 3rd base in hollywood with a great DJ good drinks and good vibe. also Harriets is a must! roof top at night great DJ & a very sexy Venue. For dinner I would make reservation for the penthouse at mastros food is 10 out of 10 with a live DJ or Drake’s Hollywood is also nice. also after attending The Comedy Store checking out my good friend Rob Gordon slide across the street to the pendry hotel their room top bar is amazing with views of hollywood.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Mother hands down. She has been my rock and support through it all. We lost my father back in 2020 and we been through some tough times together. We have always been a super close family but we became even closer after his lost. She keeps me grounded and is my number one supporter with my dreams and goals! I love her to the moon and back!
