Meet Nicholas David King | Actor, Model & Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicholas David King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicholas David, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“The great feat of an alchemist is that they can do the impossible. They can turn lead into gold. The ability to take anything that life gives you and turn it into gold.”
When the darkness of adversity arises, the bravest alchemists shine the brightest. In this game of Acting, you ride the waves of rejection : from audition to audition… you must persevere knowing that even though sometimes the journey may seem dark there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
When you believe, anything is possible. A true star with a heart of gold must continually realize that you must always sacrifice to smile because the light is always at your next turn.
“The best is yet to come.”
The best is always right around the next corner. God placed these visions in your heart and mind for a reason, trust the process, and know this is the story that you will one day tell. Because…. God puts you through things, so you can push through them.
The harder the journey, the bigger the battle, the more epic the story; thus creating, the greatest hero.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.
I, Nicholas David King began my acting career with my onscreen debut in 2018 after graduating from Bellarmine University. All-American Athlete turned Actor; filming eight Feature Films before making my jump to Hollywood. I absolutely love being on Set… the collaboration, the teamwork, all working together for one end goal, to captivate Art!
Being on set is like being a kid in a Candy Shop.
I am most excited and hope to take your breath away as I lead my upcoming Feature “Soul To Keep.” Tracking through the disheartening life of “Teenage Ford Stinson.” Across from the late Oscar Award Winner Louis Gossett Jr.
Soul To Keep is an intense game of chess, the battle of good and evil as the stakes are raised when each move reveals there are always two sides to the story.
Hilarious enough… my callback is one to remember. Well, firstly, I missed my original slotted time for my callback, the Writer and Director of the Project, Krista O’Connor graciously enough let me sneak back into a later time. I then was so frantic, that I’m not sure if I said one correct line on the sides of the script, but what I did do, was make an impression on the producers because soon after that Callback, as reckless as it may have been… the role of Ford Stinson was mine!
Because when a Role is meant for you, it is only meant for you!
Among my other roles I appear in : Netflix’s “Pretty Little Stalker” Hulu’s “Mile High Escorts” and Hulu’s “Eenie Meanie.”
Also, you can find me in 50 Cents hit show “Power Book III : Raising Kanan.”
I want to say thank you to everyone that helped make these projects come to life, they really hold a special place in my heart, and are memories that I will never soon forget.
Aspire to inspire others and the universe will take note.
2,000 miles & 32 hours later… I made the drive from Louisville, KY to Los Angeles, CA.
With a car full of all of my belongings…. I might add.
Kentucky charm matched with an unwavering amount of courage has given me the stamina to persevere for my long term goals.
Riding the Ups and Downs, knowing the uphill battle of Acting is a marathon and not a sprint. It’s said that for every 72 auditions, you book 1 role, but that one booking could change everything.
I’ve had my fair share of rejections, close calls, and thinking I booked the perfect role… Leaving me with nothing but mental wins.
Actors are emotional athletes. Dedicating 110% effort to every audition with knowing that at this very moment, the tectonic plates could shift, making this the one that sets you apart.
What is success without struggle? If there was no struggle, everyone would make the climb…
In this world if you are going through pain, suffering, and obstacles… you are on the right track. Obstacles are given to those who can handle them. Hardships, whether physical, emotional, or mental are there to help you grow.
Grow into the actor, man, and person you are supposed to be. Me? I’m growing everyday.
The journey may not be easy, but it is always worth it.
“Because the arrow doesn’t seek the target. The target draws the arrow.”
Focus on you until the focus is on you. Continue to stay steadfast, keep God at the center, know he is not giving you more than you can chew, and believe in the visions he once gave you. Are all things that I tell myself daily on my journey.
For when you think you are being rejected and doors close… he is currently building a room entirely just for you.
I am extremely blessed and thankful for the roles that I have booked, and will continue to book. Getting the call that the role is yours… is a feeling, a craving, or a rush that we Actors, can never, ever, stop chasing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I focus mostly on Health and Wellness. My body is my job, so my world revolves around fitness.
That being said, I love to hike and be outdoors.
Some of my favorite hikes include going to Runyon, and the Wisdom Tree. I also love walking and running the Hollywood Reservoir.
You can also find me at a workout class with friends, or a sauna/cold plunge session at Pause Wellness Studio.
Everyday is an adventure, but you have to put the work in first! I must endure to enjoy.
I hit 10,000 to 20,000 steps a day, and workout 7 days a week.
Also, diet and nutrition play a massive role in my life. I eat 3 or 4 healthy home cooked meals a day, but that being said, I do love going out to the restaurant Great White where all food is farmed locally fresh to table. But before I act like a saint with food… their Pizza and French Fries are absolutely to die for!
A nice little itinerary would be to wake up with a workout, of course get a coffee, hit a nice hike in the sun, and then go eat at Great White for a bite!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my incredible parents, David & Karen King for their everlasting support on my journey as an Actor.
Giving comfort & patience when adversity strikes the thickest, and for cheering the loudest when excitement brews. I have my mother’s charisma matched with my father’s unwavering resilience.
I want to thank my sister Caroline for the constant communication, and support. For always excelling in every aspect, and giving me somebody to look up to.
My older brother Tommy who gifted me with compassion and grit, being my “Why” when storms rain down. Being the light in every shadow, the love in every room, and the purest part of my heart.
My family pushes me forward, giving me resilience through carnage on this chase of living a great story.
Also, I want to shoutout Anthony Del Negro for giving me my start and mentoring me in the creative industry, and being a helpful hand along the way.
To my friends in Kentucky and Los Angeles, thank you for having my back even when times seem bleak.
To Jon, Wells, and Mac for being my backbone of smiles, and to Kalie Jane for the kindness and calmness you give me, & for holding the parts of me no one else sees.
And a very warm appreciation to my Agent Kate Lackey (Daniel Hoff Agency) & Manager Jaime Baker (Baker Management) for continuously working for me and submitting me for projects!
