We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Sestito and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nick, why did you pursue a creative career?
Growing up watching Movies and TV with my family was a big part of my life. From sitting on the couch with my pops watching Remember the Titans to turning off all the lights in my basement and being mesmerized by Lord of the Rings with my brothers. It wasn’t until I joined the military that I realized I have this deep respect and admiration for people who create film or any kind of art. Soon after that I knew I wanted to be apart of that, any way I can.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am still very new to the acting industry but I’m full of excitement and curiosity. I started off on my acting journey by attending Theatre of Arts conservatory in Hollywood. During my my two years I trained in Acting, motion capture, stage combats, movement, voice and many more courses that helped mold me into the artist I am today. None of it was easy, and I learned so much about myself and the kind of person I am. Theatre school is an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who has any interest in acting or being creative. I’m proud of all the work I’ve done, but I’m most proud of the work I’ve done with my classmates at Theatre of Arts. Whether it was writing comedy sketches or one act plays, filming shorts or just helping each other come up with jokes for our stand up set. I’ll always remember the amount of effort and dedication we all put in to create something we could be proud of.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If it’s summer time I would definitely take them surfing at Manhattan beach. Then probably hit up one of my favorite bars Johnnys near Highland Park. Great staff, great drinks and even a friendly bar cat! They also have the best taco truck in LA right outside called Charlie’s. Shout out to my boy Victor Frausto for putting me on!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to Dedicate my Shout out to the Theatre of Arts acting conservatory in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The instructors there truly care, they really helped me grow into the artist I am today.
