We had the good fortune of connecting with Niki Marrè and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Niki, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The most honest answer is that there was a fire inside of me that wouldn’t let me not start my own business! I also never looked at my work as just a business. It felt like, and is a mission– this is what gave me the energy, courage, and endurance to move through everything that I had had to, to launch my offerings. There was a practical piece too. I was in a place in my life where I knew I was likely going to become a single mom, and needed to create income that gave me the freedom to continue being as present for my son as possible.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
“My journey in business has been fueled by an unrelenting passion for the work I do. Even during moments when it felt like no one was listening, I reminded myself that I wasn’t speaking to be the most popular voice in the room—I was speaking to change lives. If even one person truly heard me, that was enough to keep going.

This path hasn’t always been easy, but it has been deeply joyful—woven with grit, resilience, and extraordinary growth. I’ve always led with intuition, carving out a path that felt authentic rather than following formulas that didn’t align with who I am. That authenticity has been my compass. I genuinely love what I do, and I believe that love is essential to creating lasting success.

There was also significant personal resistance to the work I do in feminine empowerment and healing. At one point, I was even ‘forbidden’ from pursuing it. But I chose to stand in my truth and serve others, rather than shrink into fear. That decision became a defining moment.

To grow my business, I had to let go of ego—a process that can feel counterintuitive in a world that often celebrates outward success. But the more I centered myself in service and passion rather than profit, the more abundance flowed into my life. It became clear that the heart I poured into my work directly mirrored the success I received.

Everything I now offer my clients is grounded in the very practices and modalities that helped me overcome my own challenges. From crafting my brand and mission to designing soulful offerings, every piece has emerged from the depth of my own transformation.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d start by heading into Topanga, where we’d sip matcha and enjoy mindful bites at Topanga Living Cafe, then wander through some of my favorite local shops like Moona Star and Pebbles. No visit to the area would be complete without hunting for vintage finds at Hidden Treasures. For dinner, we’d settle in at Canyon Gourmet, and brunch at The Seventh Ray would be an absolute must. In the morning, I’d take them on a stunning labyrinth hike with ocean views that are nothing short of magical.

In Malibu, we’d hike the Ray Miller Trail to Sycamore Canyon—in my opinion, the most breathtaking hike in all of the Los Angeles area. The sweeping views of the coastline are unforgettable. We’d grab a nourishing lunch at Sunlife Organics in the Malibu Country Mart and end the day with dinner at Malibu Farm Cafe on the pier.

Of course, I’d also have to bring my guest to Venice for a day of shopping and a meal at The Butcher’s Daughter. We’d wrap it all up with a sunset dance session at Ecstatic Dance LA—because there’s nothing like moving freely under the sky to end a perfect LA day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have had the most wonderful, powerful, mentors, coaches, and friends who have held a big mirror up to me when I needed it, and drew out the most powerful aspects of myself. I would love to highlight Alice Khalsa. She is the only individual that I have looked at and said, “this is the person that I want to mentor me 1:1.” Her energy is pure love, expansion, integrity, and raw authentic guidance.
