We had the good fortune of connecting with NOBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi NOBA, what principle do you value most?
Integrity.
I say this because it just matters. I genuinely believe that having integrity in all your work, in who you are and in your actions is one of the most beautiful things ever! Because everything you do/produce comes from such an authentic sincere place. Not clouded by agendas and/or greed.
It’s fundamental
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art is unique, it’s just an altogether different sound that I’m forming. I believe that is what sets me apart. I’m very proud and excited about what I’m going to produce and release this year. In my professional music career, I am still starting out but I do believe I’ve gained success. By being me and pushing that forward. Finding collaborators as invested and excited to be part of the journey. And gaining a following and support for my music.
A very important lesson I learnt along the way is to work with the people that want to work with you! Not just the people there for the money or the ‘most talented”.
What I would love for people to know about my story is that I am set on building something new and sharing that with the world.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely the Santa Monica Pier, there’s so much to do! The cafes, bars and restaurants. I would recommend Sunny Blue! Pretty affordable and has great food!!! Not to mention the beach and the scenery. Especially on a good weather day
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a big shoutout to my family. They have been an integral part of my success and sanity. I would also like to give thanks to God. My faith plays a huge part in my perspective. Especially when things are not going how I expect them to or would like them to. Faith helps me get through.
And lastly Brené Brown, not so long ago I read Rising Strong and it really allowed me to extend more grace to people when disappointed. And also understand where I am in a holistic way too. I think everyone needs to read that book haha
