Meet Nubiiian G | Producer , SingerSongwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nubiiian G and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nubiiian, how do you think about risk?
Without risk there is no reward . I was moreso taught to play it safe a lot of my life . Playing it safe was not only boring to me , but it kept my life in this consistent routine that often had 0 excitement an left me many times to be unfulfilled. Taking risk brought excitement to my life which broke the routine I was on . I usually don’t take reactive or impulsive risk , most of the time the risk I take are calculated. Taking risk often leave you with uncertainty but to know you bet on yourself an came out the victor was much more satisfying.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So currently I’ve transitioned over to being a Producer . I’ve spent 10 years focused on a career in songwriting as well as rapping . Although I don’t regret any of the journey I’ve been on , I do wish I pursued making beats from the very beginning lol I believe I finally found my lane , I finally found my pocket an most importantly it’s not many female producers here in Los Angeles . Well it’s many female producers but not many who are recognized for their gifts in production. I’m most proud of myself for not giving up because it’s many times I wanted to with being homeless briefly or when my brother an father died back to back . I just felt like I didn’t have the will to keep going at that point , it was so devastating for me . To overcome a lot of that hardship has shown me I’m stronger than I actually give myself credit for an I have to see this through . I’ve never been the popular kid , I’ve always been in the shadows a lot of my life . What I want people to know if you were anything like me when God calls , ima need you to answer . You may have been purposely hidden an hidden too long . Come to the front when you are called .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my go to spots here in Los Angeles would be Louisiana Chicken lol in Carson California which is where I’m from . I don’t care what people gotta say ! That spot on Avalon an university never disappoints, argue with yo mama aha another spot would be LA AX here in Hollywood . We went for the homies birthday an I’ve been dying to go back ever since . If your into just clubbing an strip clubs im not for you lol although I do love a good strip club aha but it’s more to do out here . Nature an being outside helps with my spirit so I would recommend the Culver City Stairs for a view an a much needed workout . Another great spot would be the Prank Bar in downtown LA . A walk up bar thats sooo amazing an the food is even better , I would highly recommend you stop by for a few shots an taste the lobster ravioli, excellent ! Kens Ice Cream in Carson is always amazing with classic flavors or even Happy Ice on melrose is a must you pull up !!! Trust me !!!! Lol Another place would be Sunset Ranch In Hollywood where you can ride horses all the way up to the Hollywood sign , another calming gorgeous view . One more place would be Muholland Scenic Overlook , overlooking the entire greater Los Angeles , you’ll love it I guarantee!! Last spot would be Jet Skiiing in Long Beach a hidden gem yet perfect for the summer time heat .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people I have to shout out besides God & my mama lol would be my two homies ShotbyRedEye for even recommending me for this opportunity for ShoutOutLA , I have to shout out my Homie Bobby O The Brand Strategist Here in Los Angeles who has refused to give up on me . TyBuddLewis for her Mentorship an the daily affirmations she sends me . Ty is helping to connect the dots in my career I’m extremely grateful for her ! I gotta shout out everyone at Str8outDaTrunk Radio for years of support & my two angels My brother & Father who passed on !
