Meet Paige Olivia | Actress & Singer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Olivia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, why did you pursue a creative career?
I decided to pursue an artistic career because it is an area where I find that I never get tired of learning and working. The dynamic nature of performance keeps me engaged, offering endless opportunities to grow, refine my skills, and explore new ways to tell stories. The creative world is constantly changing and this is what keeps the industry interesting and full of excitement, as each project brings a fresh challenge. It also allows me to express myself in ways that words alone can’t. Through performance, I can communicate emotions, ideas, and experiences with an energy that resonates deeply with both myself and the audience. This constant evolution of learning and self-expression makes the performing arts not only a fulfilling career but a passion that fuels my creativity and drive. Ultimately, it gives me a sense of purpose, personal growth, and the chance to inspire others through the power of performance.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think something that sets me apart and something that I am very proud of is being South African. I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and I am passionate about telling stories and bringing my perspective as someone who is not from the United States into the work that I do. Looking back, I honestly don’t even know how to sum up how I’ve ended up where I am today: living the life I once dreamed of in the US. I think it really comes down to years of training, a never-ending love for performing, and my parent’s support. Leaving home has been one of the most challenging things I have ever done, and although it never gets easier, it does get more worth it with every opportunity I am given.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1: Hike to the Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Northern Cafe on Hollywood Blvd.
Day 2: Spend the day at Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier (we have to go on all the rides)
Day 3: Dive into LA’s arts scene with The Broad Museum and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Dinner at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse.
Day 4: Drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu for beach time and seafood at Malibu Farm, followed by dinner at Nobu Malibu.
Day 5: Explore The Getty and The Getty Villa.
Day 6: Day trip to Santa Barbara for wine tasting, the beach, and dinner at The Lark.
Day 7: Spend the day in Downtown LA, visit The Last Bookstore and Grand Central Market.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My beautiful parents. I know it sounds cliche but I truly could not have done it without them. They are my biggest supporters and there aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for everything they have done for me. I’m sure hearing that your daughter wants to move across the world to follow her acting dreams can be a scary moment for parents but I have never received anything other than encouragement from them.
