We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Brogardi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pamela, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ever since I can remember I’ve always had a love for makeup and skincare! Growing up in Los Angeles sparked my interest in Hollywood and I knew I wanted to work in Television and Movies. I became a licensed Cosmetologist, Celebrity Makeup Artist and used many different products. From there, I developed a passion for creating my own line of skincare. I launched a company called Luisant 6 along with my amazing business partner Paula. We have put all my years of work and experience into its products and I am very proud of how they’re turning out!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of the things that sets me apart from others is my understanding of the role of color in both hair & makeup. Having years of experience makes a big difference when creating the right look for each of my unique clients. My ultimate goal is always to please the client, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the smile on each client when I complete their look. I always schedule first looks so I can make sure to give them what they like vs. what I think they want. I am very passionate about products. I’ve always felt the need to stay up on the latest innovations in skin care, makeup, and hair. I stay up to date in education and I am constantly learning new techniques to make sure my clients have the latest and greatest.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d start by taking them to House of Core in Brentwood Village for an energizing workout to begin the day. Next I’d take them on a walk through Santa Monica to catch a view of the beautiful ocean. For lunch I’d love to take them to Nobu in Malibu, the ocean view is spectacular! For dinner I’d take them to one of my favorite restaurants, CatchLA. If there’s time I’d also love to bring them for drinks at E.P. & L.P.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to shoutout my family, in particular my son Niko. I am so proud of the man you’re becoming! You’ve made me a proud Momma. I also want to give a shoutout to my business partner at Luisant 6, Paula. She is an amazing woman and mother! I’d also love to give a shoutout to my longtime client, Kyle Richards. Thank you for everything, you’re an inspiration to me and every woman! Lastly, I’d like to shoutout the clients who have supported me since the beginning. It has been a long journey with many ups and downs, ultimately it is because of my clients that I have been able to do what I do on a daily basis. Seeing the results and happiness of my clients is something that motivates me on a daily basis!
