We had the good fortune of connecting with Paris Danca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paris, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I believe the thing that brings the most joy in my life is dance. It’s one of the best ways to express myself and interact with other people. My dance journey started more than 10 years ago and I am evolving every day. Dance has traveled with me across the world and I plan to continue to use it as a vehicle for my happiness.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been dancing since the age of 9 years old and dancing has been the essence of who I am since I was a child. I have traveled around the world perfecting my dance experience. My journey started in Cameroon when I was a child learning about the world of dance. My journey carried me to Europe where I was a dancer on the street. I experience many variety’s of dance and culture. Fast forward to today and I host some of the biggest festivals and events surrounding Los Angeles. My hope is to further my career as a choreographer and eventually work with world renowned choreographer’s and dancer’s. I want the would to know that dancing has been a burning passion of mine since I was a child and I would like to continue to lift my career.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Friday I would take them out to lunch at Sumptuous African Restaruant. Friday night we would go out to have drinks and dance at Revel Lounge. Saturday afternoon we would go to Grifith Park and take a grand look over the scope of Los Angeles. Saturday night we would go to the biggest Afrobeats night in Hollywood at Station 1640. Sunday would be a chill day probably brunch and we end the night at Dragonfly Hollywood
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have a few key people that I work with on a weekly basis and I have to give everyone there credit. My big brother Blaq Pages has been allowing me to join him and his brand Afrobeats To the world on several occasions. I travel with his brand often and host festival’s and events. Tomi Tribe has been a big factor in my success as well by allowing me to participate in Triibe events across Los Angeles and surrounding. My guy Don Brotherhood has also helped me position myself in amazing circles across Los Angeles.
