We had the good fortune of connecting with Paris Simpson and Natalie Hadden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paris and Natalie, how do you interpret what risk means?
By creating the heartbeat of the entertainment industry, Arterial Management creates the pulse of the raw heartbeat of natural talent of the modern-day industry and the entertainment industry through risk and uncertainty and by using the unnatural feeling to guide us into self-discovery.
The path to creating a legacy in Arterial Management was born out of the dream of a young dancer. As I progressed and evolved with the industry, I realized my gift was serving others in reaching their full potential and developing artists. By believing in others, and expecting nothing in return, it shaped the industry in my world,” said Hadden and embraced the risk and the generational misconception that is built on the balance of common human nature. This is the natural language that is not a risk but a road map to success and how you leave your legacy.
Risk is a concept that permeates every aspect of our lives, shaping our decisions and defining the trajectories of our careers. It is the leap of faith, the bold step into the unknown, and the willingness to embrace uncertainty. For me, risk-taking has played a pivotal role in my career, guiding me toward opportunities that have shaped my artistic journey and allowed me to leave a legacy.
The Power of Intuition: Risk, in my perception, has always been intertwined with intuition. It is that gut instinct that pushes us beyond our comfort zones, prompting us to envision and trust in the end goal. For myself it was the risk of leaving my job as a private investigator to follow my love of the arts. For Paris, the loss of her father at a young age forced her to become self-reliant and discover her own path. Paris was Balancing my job as a medical assistant and my passion for dance, I took a risk by attending a pop-up class sent to me by Deshawn Royale a dancer I met at Monsters Dance convention who now is a dance educator throughout Colorado. I drove an hour away from my small town. A teenager who had lost her father to cancer alone was driving to the big city of Denver Colorado. This risk this internal voice telling me to go was that leap of faith would introduce me to Natalie my manager, mentor and became my family. This meeting would transform both our lives and the lives of her family.
Taking Risks and Embracing Opportunities: When I opened my new building studio/management company it was what I had imagined in my head since I was a small child. It was a risk. We built every little bit of the building with our blood, sweat and sometimes tears. My family and my partner Cheryl and her family helped lay the foundation literally.
Neither Paris or I would know where any of this would lead, but we were drawn together by our shared love for the raw emotion and principles of the technique of how we let the art evolve and trusted the process and it became a magical place with fashion shows and live music on Fridays, it truly was one of a kind studio originally a jazz, tap, and ballet studio that turned into what the community needed and so We focused on the pillars of hip-hop that she had learned for a colleague Alberto Smith and place for artist development. We also learned a valuable lesson to protect our circle as the more success that you have the unhealthier individuals. So instead of breaking and giving up when people try to bring negative energy we simply ignore the noise. I asked Paris if she wanted to move in and Natalie saw my inner talent and knew that I needed consistency. Natalie then made the decision to manage vocal artists and rap artists, providing me with a stage to practice and master my craft and learn how to promote a tour was an invaluable experience. She then ventured into uncharted territories, even producing a music video and a stage show for a Spanish rapper despite neither of us speaking Spanish. We let music be the universal language. These risks became steppingstones, propelling us toward our dream and solidifying our bond. We also learned to keep our circle close as there are business associates and dancers who lash out and create chaos to try and distract you and anyone else, they can get to listen for whatever their reasons may be, rejection, guilt, or nothing at all just feeling a certain way. You cannot get distracted by the lies and the noise of the chaos of those who want you to fail. Stay the course, stay focused and a support system for those rough days. Once the ball is rolling and your career is in full launch mode. People come out of the woodwork to just be a part of the ride. People that did not invest time or money miss the moments that shaped the process. All my fellow dancers and managers and agents think about who was there for you when you were learning the foundations of how to become a star. Those are your tribe.
Trusting Ourselves and Overcoming Challenges: Throughout our journey, there were many times that Natalie and I faced moments of doubt and questioned each other’s intentions. However, we realized that natural obstacles and misunderstandings were mere bumps in the road. We trusted in ourselves and our shared vision, using the lessons from previous risks to navigate through challenges. Each risk became an opportunity for growth, allowing us to create a roadmap to success. We both know when it gets a little rough, that’s the universe testing you to see if you’re ready to level up. We now both welcome the uncomfortable feeling of referencing that is part of the process and we welcome the upgrades. #trusttheprocess Its hard but even family members have tried to test our relationship all you can do is trust yourself and your inner voice and lead with love and transparency.
The Artistic Legacy of Risk: Artists are intrinsically connected to risk-taking. It is through the courage to explore uncharted territories that they bring forth their unique style and create groundbreaking work by trusting the process. As artists, we build upon the foundations of our craft, incorporating the fundamentals but the unique style, that makes the legends come from when you take foundation and build in between each fundamental a way to connect to the music trial, error, and raw emotion. Artists that bridge each block with that missing element that connect the dots and set us apart. The controversial, risky moments become the defining instances that shape an artist’s legacy, leaving an indelible mark on their respective fields. The artist is no longer the moment but leaves the legacy and the manager is remixed as a relevant part of the world that is made for the young and the ones that love the arts enough to be humbled by the support and find a way to recreate their value to the sport and their own legacy. This is what I truly love about the sport
Embracing Uncertainty: For me, the key to success lies in embracing the gray areas of life. By living in uncertainty, we open ourselves to new possibilities and push the boundaries of our creativity. Risk becomes the compass guiding us toward the missing styles, bridging generational gaps, and transforming a mere vibe into an iconic piece of art. It is those moments when artists dare to embrace the risk and become legends that leave an enduring impact on the world. This is how legends are born through the beauty of others.
So now at the end of the eight counts, when you have accomplished your goals graduated from your competition studio, aged out, or have danced the last dance, what if I told you in the risk, in those uncomfortable moments that’s when the legends are born! I leave you with this…
Risk-taking is an inherent aspect of both personal growth and professional success. In my career, it has been the driving force behind my artistic endeavors, propelling me towards opportunities that have shaped my journey and allowed me to create a legacy. By harnessing intuition, embracing uncertainty, and trusting ourselves, we can navigate the challenges that come with risk and unlock the true potential within us. So, take the leap, embrace the unknown, and allow risk to guide you toward a future of unparalleled fulfillment and accomplishment. I encourage you to trust yourself and if you are lucky enough to find a human, a team that gets you as I did, then that’s when you feel the pulse of all the trials and errors they have learned from, and by adding my own talents and strengths the pulse was so strong that we built a company that builds others. A company born out of pure passion and trust and being humbled by the sport of dance that now defines a generation and leaves the beautiful legacy of your movement, your soul, and the trust in human nature and wisdom in each client that comes into our company. The most important thing is to stay focused and block out the noise of others that try to distract you from your why.
To some #pulsecheck and DMs for a difference are just a hash tag. This is so much more mission statement was born of the pain and loss of three young adults that had impacted so many lives all in their own unique way. We were then faced with trauma by the loss of my father Paul Simpson, and the loss of Marco D’Agostino Natalies brother. Most recently when someone tried to take one of our own and make them believe they were nothing. Fortunately, we had “The Network” to bring them home safely and we will forever be grateful. We don’t post for dancers to gain notoriety we don’t make money in fact we have lost money but gained the joy of watching someone succeed. To let artists know that we see them appreciate their gift and the joy it brings to the world and that they are smart and valued their gift is not lost on our Arterial Network. We have also used this passion and love of the arts to fight against those who speak do not speak social media. A new critical worldwide language. A powerful language to stop cyberbullying, suicide prevention, and prevention of exploitation of children and human trafficking. We also support multiple foundations and charities that cost you nothing but your time and attention to another human.
#Pulsecheck, may to some be just a hashtag but to me and our Arterial Network, it allows us to bring our gift to the worldwide stage. These universal languages support others and teach a multi-lingual and generational world how to have a common denominator that when everyone can understand through music, dance, or now a simple like or comment, can heal the heart. The mission of Arterial is to harness the power of social media for a better tomorrow. #Pulsecheck will not be lost in translation but understood and felt throughout the souls created out of the passion of our love of the arts.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week-long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My top 3 places to take someone who is visiting Los Angeles would be: Well of course all my favorite studios that have transformed me further into the dancer I am today.
I would visit Mihrank Studios and Mihran K. Noho they have a pulse on the industry and are always on their A game. The energy is amazing, and the owners are genuinely good humans and take pride in the relationships they build with all their clients. I always feel inspired when I leave this space. Top for both Natalie and Paris
Disneyland because I think it is important to remember your inner child and let that part of your soul live its best life! To not worry about the pressures of the world sometimes. Natalie and I both enjoy Disney; I love seeing how excited an entertainer can bring such joy and happiness to a child and remind you to just have fun in life.
The Beach: Self Care is a must! Taking time to ground yourself in a chaotic world is a must for me. We are blessed to have beautiful beaches here in California to let you just sit and appreciate the ocean or maybe go on a boat or a canoe ride. We love that this is our new home.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So, is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout Out to the artists around the world! We are always looking to support local fashion designers, studios, agencies, salons, and those who would like to become industry professionals or already are. The gift of mentorship is an invaluable gift, and we encourage everyone to always give the gift of education and kindness back to someone. Truly such a powerful life change experience.
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and appreciation to the remarkable individuals and institutions that have played an instrumental role in our journey. Each step of the way, they have provided us with the support, guidance, and opportunities that have shaped both of us in the entertainment industry. Camp Hodge Season 4 assured me I have made the right decisions and have the right support system to get to where I am. Pafoooorm was not only the lineup of the century! The panel of the best in the business was a true blessing and a wealth of information.
To my dad even though you are not with me anymore. I know that you are with me every step of the way. Natalie mentions she feels your presence often whenever life throughs us what we thought was a curve ball but now welcome that uncomfortable feeling. since it means we are evolving and leveling up or learning an invaluable lesson.
To my family Terry and Don thank you for being my stability and always supporting me. I cherish all the memories on the farm and love coming home. I will forever be your PG.
My reasons Hadden said have been my children and they are my everything they saved my life. I wanted to give them a family business how I was raised. I enjoyed all the time that we spent together doing something we all love. The reason I started my company was that my son wanted to learn hip hop, so I sought out a teacher that was versed in all styles and he was a driving force to push to open my studio. My dear friend Roxie and Alberto and I met teaching in a little tiny studio all because we just wanted to dance. Now almost seven years later we are all in a much better place because we supported each other.
To Loveland Dance Academy:
Thank you for building the foundation upon which my passion for dance was nurtured. From the very beginning, your instructors instilled in me a love for movement and the discipline required to excel.
To Arterial Management (Natalie) Erik, Quentin and Talia :
Natalie, I am incredibly grateful for the role you played in developing my style and allowing me to find who I am. For taking the pressure off the daily life bills and work and just let me grow. Your vision and belief in my talent allowed me to explore new dimensions of my artistry. Through your guidance, I discovered a side of myself that was bold, fearless, and unapologetic. The opportunities you provided and continue to provide, the collaborations we embarked upon, and the artistic freedom I experienced were invaluable in shaping my identity as an artist. You are always teaching me to love and express my true self. I love that you believe in me no matter what and when it was tough and had to find a way to support 3 dancers in conventions, classes, and traveling to auditions you found a way to keep us going.
To Erik for always being calm in the chaos and supporting the determination and working the extra hours as we moved from Colorado to Vegas and now to LA because you believed in Natalie and in me. I am grateful for all my amazing home-cooked meals and all the driving you did to get me to audition so I could sleep and be at my best and Natalie could build up my confidence to make sure I was ready.
To Quentin and Tal I truly love you both. Quentin, even though you’re a pain sometimes… I love watching the dancer and artist you are evolving into. It’s crazy to think when we first met you had just started to dance. Today you are a true performer, not the same little boy that was shorter than me😊 Thanks for always supporting me and I will be there every step of the way supporting you. Hopefully, we will be on a tour together soon. Tal, you are one of the most driven and stubborn individuals I have ever met. That’s what makes you Tal you are just you. I love how you look up to me and ask me for advice. I don’t like sharing my clothes without you asking. lol I will be here for you always and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for you. Looking forward to you coming so we can all be together again.
