We had the good fortune of connecting with Phobia The Greatest and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Phobia The Greatest, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think there are risks every day in my life and career. Every successful opportunity I’ve had came with taking a risk. If I don’t take a chance how will I ever know what may have happened? I don’t want to leave a situation reflecting on what could or would have happened. I want to know that I did everything I possibly could at that moment. I have nothing to lose and everything to gain when I take a risk.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an artist known as Phobia The Greatest. I make a variety of genres. I create my art based on the emotions that I’m feeling in that moment or experiences I have lived and want to share. Creating art for me is a positive outlet to acknowledge and share my thoughts and feelings. My beat selection reflects what I am feeling. The lyrics reflect what is on my mind. I’m most proud of my progression and how far I’ve come. I like to visit my old music and see how much my sounds have grown. What I may have thought was my best song six months ago, is nowhere close to what I’m making now. It amazes me. I’m excited to continue my growth. I keep growing at a rapid speed. Where I am today has taken me years of hard work and dedication. My insight and skills are a result of learning experiences over time. I overcome challenges by reflecting. What worked for me? What didn’t work for me? I adjust moving forward because I can not change the past but only learn from it. Life is about the journey rather than the destination. I want the world to know that I am Phobia The Greatest a versatile artist with a purpose. A purpose to heal, help and give hope. With hard work and dedication, you can have anything in life. Every day is a choice to become the greatest version of you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m taking my best friend to my favorite places in LA. We’re eating at Fala Bar, Monty’s, Doomies, Sage Plant-based bistro, and Cruisers pizza. We would shop at Melrose, Fairfax, and Beverly Center. Beach days have to be at Malibu, Santa Monica, and Venice. If we’re going hiking it’s going to be the wisdom tree and Hollywood sign. And of course, exciting places to check out are Hollywood stars, Chinese theater, Moonlight Rollerway, and Shatto 39 Lanes.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to all of my amazing supporters. Thank you so much for your continuous love and support. I love every one of you!
