We had the good fortune of connecting with Phoebe Rose Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Phoebe Rose, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
I believe the most important lesson throughout this entire journey, is to live in the moment. My life has always been in such a fast-paced motion, I am constantly thinking of my next move. I’ve been so caught up on chasing my dream, there are times that I forget to cherish every moment as it is happening. I think within any business or career, its important to remind yourself the reasons of what you’re doing and why you’re doing it!
What should our readers know about your business?
I own LWP (Lash with Pheebs) and I am a lash artist! At Lash with Pheebs, we offer more than just extensions. We offer brow tinting, waxing, lash lifts, and massages. Moreover, we build long-lasting relationships with our clients, which is the best part of this entire process.
It definitely was not an easy process at all, but it all is worth it! By creating my own business has shown me that I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to. With any challenges I faced, I tried my best to find a solution by identifying the issue and understanding everyone’s best interests. I am most excited for my business to expand into a medical spa in the future!
Some lessons I have learned is that failure fosters periods of growth. Behind every successful person, is a list of mistakes, ideas, accomplishments and everything in between. The biggest takeaway I hope to anyone reading this, is to inspire someone that it is okay to step out of their own comfort zone and create something of their own.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a big foodie and I enjoy trying new places to eat! I love going to places with a lot of variety such as food halls and weekend food markets are some of my go-to’s! Some places would be Rodeo39 (OC), Anaheim Packing District, Steelcraft (Bellflower & Long Beach), Smorgasburg (Los Angeles).
I know some people don’t like to exercise, but I really enjoy cycling! I attend Grit Cycle in Long Beach, and it is the best form of exercise. Grit Cycle has such a good selection of music that makes you want to dance and is really motivating during the entire class. Also, exercising is more fun when you have friends to do it with you! Shoutout to Kaleem and Ylli for constantly motivating me every week!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many different people I would love to recognize that helped shaped me into the person I am today. I would like to start off with my parents for their nurturing love, continuous support, and allowing me to navigate life in my own terms. I believe I inherited my dad’s entrepreneurship skills and ambition, which gave me the tools to and ‘push’ to start something of my own. My mom is an extremely hard worker, and she has always taught me to keep grinding. My brother, Roscoe, from the get-go has been my role model and pushed me always be the best version of myself. Thank you to all of my family and friends for showing so much love!
In terms of my business, Alexa is my right-hand gal! She is my Assistant and really helped me put myself out there! Whenever I need a second person to run an idea by or an opinion on anything, I go to her! I would love to shoutout some of my ambassadors that helped with the marketing aspect of Lash with Pheebs (Aileen, Alliza, Amy, Christianne, Elisha, John, and Mary).
I would love to give a shoutout to Erik Venegas & his entire family for showing so much support! He has helped me throughout this entire business journey and I’ve learned so much from him!
HUGE shoutout to all of my clients for trusting me and allowing myself to grow with your love and support!!!
