We had the good fortune of connecting with Pierre Diamond Chambers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pierre Diamond, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As an entrepreneur at heart, I always felt out of place in the traditional 9-5 work environment. Clocking in and working for someone else never resonated with me. I found myself constantly critiquing not just the tasks at hand, but also the overall operations and management. My focus has always been on perfection and maintaining good energy, values that aren’t always prioritized in the typical workplace.
This led me to think, how can I create something better? How can I take control of my own destiny in a way that allows me to answer to no one but God above? That’s when I started to channel my creativity towards building something that not only offers financial freedom but also the freedom to be my own ’employee.’ I wanted to establish an environment where these principles are at the forefront, creating a space where excellence and positive energy drive every decision.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an independent recording artist, my journey began during one of the most challenging times in recent history—the 2020 pandemic shutdown. While the world was at a standstill, I found myself turning inward, using music as a way to process everything that was happening around me. That period of isolation and uncertainty sparked a creative fire within me, pushing me to start this journey and express myself in ways I never had before.
What sets my art apart is its raw authenticity and connection to real-life experiences. My music isn’t just about catchy beats or lyrics; it’s a reflection of my personal journey, struggles, and triumphs. I’m most proud of the fact that my art has resonated with people on a deep level, offering them a sense of connection and understanding during times when they might have felt alone.
Getting to where I am today professionally wasn’t easy. The challenges were numerous—navigating the industry as an independent artist, finding the right people to collaborate with, and staying motivated in the face of uncertainty. But each challenge taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, self-belief, and the importance of staying true to my vision.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is the power of perseverance. When things get tough, it’s easy to doubt yourself or question whether you’re on the right path. But I’ve learned that every setback is an opportunity to grow and refine your craft.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it’s all about realness—unfiltered, unapologetic, and true to who I am. My story is one of transformation, not just as an artist, but as a person who’s constantly evolving and pushing boundaries. I want my music to inspire others to embrace their own journeys, no matter how difficult, and to know that they, too, can create something meaningful out of any situation.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles for a week, I’d make sure they had an unforgettable time. Here’s how I’d plan it out:
Day 1: We’d kick things off with a visit to Griffith Observatory for those iconic views of the city and the Hollywood sign. After soaking in the sights, we’d grab lunch at a cool spot like Republique, where the vibe and food are equally impressive. In the evening, we’d head to a rooftop restaurant like Perch or EP & LP to enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner with a view.
Day 2: We’d spend a day at the beach, maybe Venice or Santa Monica, where we could relax, people-watch, and enjoy some great street food. In the evening, I’d take them to a hidden speakeasy like The Varnish downtown, where we could enjoy some top-notch cocktails in a cozy, intimate setting.
Day 3: We’d explore some culture with a trip to the Getty Center or LACMA, followed by lunch at Grand Central Market to sample a variety of local eats. Afterward, we might hit up the Arts District for some cool street art and coffee at one of the trendy cafes.
Day 4: No trip to LA is complete without a day at one of the theme parks. Whether it’s Disneyland or Universal Studios, we’d spend the day enjoying the rides and attractions. In the evening, we’d hit up a fun nightlife spot like The Highlight Room for some music, dancing, and great views.
Day 5: We’d take a break from the city and head out to Malibu for some scenic hikes and beach time. Lunch at Malibu Farm on the pier would be a must, with those ocean views as our backdrop. In the evening, we’d have a laid-back night with dinner at a local spot like The Tasting Kitchen in Venice.
Day 6: We’d dive into the food scene with a tour of some of LA’s best food trucks and markets, sampling everything from tacos to Korean BBQ. Afterward, we’d visit the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame and TCL Chinese Theatre. Dinner would be at a classic LA spot like Musso & Frank Grill.
Day 7: We’d wrap up the trip with a day of shopping on Rodeo Drive and exploring Beverly Hills. For our last night, we’d go big with a fancy dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant like Providence, followed by a nightcap at a stylish lounge like The Rooftop at The Standard.
In my view, LA is all about variety—you can experience everything from high-energy nightlife to serene beach days, with incredible food and drink options at every turn. There’s something for everyone, and that’s what makes it such a fun, interesting, and exciting place to visit.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In the Shoutout series, I’d like to recognize those who have played a crucial role in my journey. First and foremost, my mentor and spiritual father, Bishop/Dr. Carlton D. Pearson deserves immense credit. His wisdom, guidance, and unwavering support have been instrumental in shaping who I am today. He’s been a beacon of light in my life, always encouraging me to rise above challenges and embrace my calling with conviction.
I also want to dedicate this shoutout to my parents, whose love and encouragement have been the foundation of my strength. Their belief in me, even during the toughest times, has given me the courage to pursue my dreams and to stand firm in my purpose. Their influence is woven into every success I’ve achieved, and I’m eternally grateful for their role in my story.
