We had the good fortune of connecting with Q B and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Q, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
I would have to say, finally making the decision to bet on myself. Leaving a full time job to pursue my dreams was a huge risk. However I realized time wasn’t slowing down & I was holding myself back. We are our own worse critic. We are also our biggest fan!! Chasing a dream can be scary, it’s going to be uncomfortable. However if you can fall in love with the process & do your best. What can you loose?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Everything is art to me. Makeup is a form of the way I express art. I take my time for every detail. I am an experience when Working on the facial canvas. I love the process of contouring and highlighting the beautiful definition of a face. What sets me apart is how much fun we have while getting to the finished product. You will leave more than satisfied & with bigger energy. Your confidence will radiate. The hardest part is just telling yourself you can do it. Market yourself logically & do great business. Everything will fall exactly into place. Don’t give up when it’s tough, ride it out and remember why you’re doing this. Like life it’s a process, so is art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spot I would have to say is the hiking trails in Malibu. It’s a beautiful duo of both Mountain View & the coastline. The ocean & just being outside is always where I think the best & come up with my best ideas. It’s extremely breathtaking. After that Malibu as a cute restaurant on the water kinda hidden at the end of the pier. The back side over looks the ocean & the food is priced fair & so good! Santa Monica because you have to see the pier at least once. Definitely a stroll down melrose for some good shopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Great question, so a week before I made a final decision, I finished the book “ Rich Dad Poor Dad” it literally changed my mindset about money, business & just overall how I see the financial world. A friend of mine who is a very successful business owner now, recommended it to me. He had a sore past but changed his life to the success it is today. I had to know his secret. He told me to read the book & remove all distractions from my life. At the time I didn’t really understand why secluding myself would help. However now I am very private & selfish with my energy. It allowed me to think for myself without others input or opinion. I was able to make clear decisions just based on my own thought process. Everyone does life their own way, but what may work for others may not work for you. This practice is not only necessary it made life peaceful & easy to make the right choices for me & my business endeavors.
