We had the good fortune of connecting with Queen Neisha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Queen, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I chose photography because I love creating memories for other people. I love making people feel confident in themselves by bringing unique ideas to life. When years have passed and life brings changes having photos of positive memories bring joy to others and I am proud of play a part in that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a creative I try to find the beauty in everything my lens focuses on. My brand is based on making people feel their very best in every unique way. Photography has allowed me into spaces I had never dreamed of and what I am most proud of is that I am 100% self taught. I found my passion in photography and I fully immersed myself into learning more about it. Developing my craft has not only allowed me to connect with others on a deeper scale, but has also allowed me to explore parts of myself that I may or may not have ever uncovered without it. Being a self taught photographer brought its own challenges, such as learning equipment, developing a style and really curating a unique experience for each client, however through the process of it all, no matter how difficult at times, I continuously remind myself that there is no easy way to success. What sets me apart from others is that nobody can see what I see and that is my gift. I pride myself on making my clients feel like royalty and my brand emanates the same, however my most recent proud moment and item checked off my bucket list was being invited to join one of my favorite childhood artists on tour. The experience was unforgettable but also an affirmation that I am on the right path in my development as an artist and business. While I continue to learn more about my craft and the business of networking outside of my community, I take pride in knowing that my growth has come from me betting on myself, never backing down from a challenge, and being 100% “ok” with everyone not supporting my craft. It’s never personal — just part of the business.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being that I am from Las Vegas, born & raised, I would first take my friend to get good food. Somewhere not downtown or on the strip. Vegas is better on the outskirts. I’d ask their opinion but being that I love Mexican food we’d probably go to a long lasting spot that used to be Macayos and is now Eddie’s Mexican Restaurant. The food is always fresh & taste so good. Service is great as well. When its time to party I love going to Big Jerk Kitchen & Lounge. Music is always on point. The drinks are great, they have hookah and if you’re hungry again they have authentic Caribbean food. Such a vibe. If they want to get some cute outfits I’d connect with @Wearpinkpeach on Instagram. She always has a great selection of outfits.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to show love to 3 people. My Aunt Stephanie (@Stephlainephotography) for always being willing to help with ideas. Being that she is a photographer as well she is very knowledgeable about the business & being serious about my craft. A childhood friend Blake (@Bmase702) for being a team player & teaching me a lot of great techniques. He’s always showing love to my business & cheering me on. Definitely pushed me to be more confident in what I do. Last but not least Fernando, the owner of Creative Space Studios here in Las Vegas. Fernando really taught me how to use my camera functions and lighting techniques. He helped me tap into my creativity in the studio. He has definitely been a teacher for me & I appreciate him for that.
