We had the good fortune of connecting with Quiana Moore-Glenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quiana, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always defined myself as a visionary. From my earliest days, I used art as my primary language—whether through storytelling illustrations, immersive themed events, or launching creative small businesses. That lifelong drive to think outside the box eventually led me to my true calling: author and content creator.
As an author, my work is deeply personal. Writing has become a powerful way to process grief and honor the legacy of my late grandmother, ensuring her story continues to inspire others. My writing is where heart meets heritage, turning memories into meaningful narratives.
In the digital space, I channel my creativity into content creation that bridges the worlds of fashion, music, and cinema. I specialize in tying these influences together—often with a nod to the magic of Disney—to create a cohesive, vibrant aesthetic that celebrates self-expression in all its forms.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
While Read Moore Books is tailored for young readers, these are stories for anyone who treasures togetherness and memory-keeping.
Growing up, I always “marched to the beat of my own drum.” Embracing that originality gave me the confidence to reject traditional boundaries and fuel my creative vision. Though being “different” brought its challenges, it ultimately built the resilience that defines my brand today.
Through every trial, I’ve learned that persistence is key. My mission is to show the world that your unique perspective is your greatest strength. No matter how many times you start over, dedication and hard work can turn any dream into a reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA is my second home , can’t come without visiting some of these places each time so I would take a friend to the following :

1. Disneyland Park & California Adventure
Why visit: the magic here is undeniable. It’s the ultimate destination for any Disney Adult to experience “real” magic.
Don’t miss: Check out Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Bayou Country or Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Toontown for that classic storytelling charm.

2. Beignets Expressed (Downtown Disney)
Why visit: These are your favorite “mouth-watering” treats. This quick-service spot specializes in New Orleans-style beignets dusted with plenty of powdered sugar.
Pro tip: It’s located right next to the Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio. Grab a batch to go and enjoy them while soaking in the atmosphere of the district.

3. Michael Jackson’s Star (Hollywood Walk of Fame)
Why visit: A essential stop for any MJ fan. Michael Jackson actually has two stars: one as a solo artist and one with The Jacksons.
Location: Find his solo star at 6927 Hollywood Blvd, right in front of the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre.
Hollywood Walk of Fame

4. The GRAMMY Museum (L.A. LIVE)
Why visit: This museum is a celebration of musical legacy. It features four floors of interactive exhibits, including the “Michael Jackson: A Musical Legacy” display.
What to see: Look for his legendary “Thriller” jacket and gloves and explore the Mono to Immersive exhibit to see how music technology has evolved.

5. Universal Studios Hollywood
Why visit: You find this park surprisingly relaxing. It blends the excitement of a theme park with the history of a working movie studio.
Relaxation spot: Head to the Laemmle Courtyard near the front gate—it’s a shaded, quiet area with a fountain that’s perfect for a peaceful break.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Behind every story is a community that helped write it.
My journey as an author began with a profound bond and a difficult goodbye. I want to honor my late grandmother, Ella Mae Glenn (our beloved Granny Girl), whose legacy inspired me to turn grief into a magical tribute through my children’s books.
To my family and friends: thank you for being the ultimate support system for me and the Read Moore Books brand. Your encouragement turned a vision into a reality.
