It’s very important to show our youth how to be resilient through adversity. So that when it is time to applaud your victory’s , the celebration of accomplishment starts to build pride in oneself

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were to come in town right now we’d be shot to Damascus because of Covid but if things were pre-Covid my favorite spots in my community would be a couple of hotspots simply wholesome for flavor of all smoothies and savory Jamaican patties. A bike ride along the Venice Beach Boardwalk topping it off with funnel cake. Dulans soul Food kitchen on Manchester for dinner followed by California donuts for dessert. I love a good flea market so the rhodium outdoor swap meet is a great place for cool fines and awesome bargains. Paddle boating in Echo Park is always fun followed by the authentic LA street tacos ride the roller coaster at Santa Monica pier a day trip to Catalina Island just to ride the glass bottom boat of cant forget horseback riding in Griffith Park ending the week with dinner at Nobu in Malibu that sunset is to die for Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout my daughters Saadiya and Assata who keep me inspired everyday. They are all the push I need with Gods Grace I’ll never let them down.
