Meet Rachael Marchand | Yoga Instructor & Digital Marketer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachael Marchand and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachael, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Freedom. I always knew I wanted to have the flexibility and freedom to do what I wanted with my time. Not only that, but I wanted to create a direct impact with the work I do – whether that’s yoga teaching, singing, or helping other wellness entrepreneurs find success in their businesses.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my deep commitment to living life on my own terms. I’ve never felt drawn to the conventional path, and I’ve learned to honor that. I’m most proud of staying true to myself, especially when it comes to choosing an entrepreneurial life over a more traditional career. It’s easy to be swayed by others’ opinions about how you should make it in this life, but I’ve continued to trust my inner voice.
I got to where I am today through self-education and curiosity. I immersed myself in YouTube videos, podcasts, and mentors—just observing, learning, and absorbing as much as I could. It hasn’t been easy. Entrepreneurship can feel isolating, especially without coworkers to brainstorm with or validate your direction. But that solitude also brought immense freedom—freedom to work from anywhere, to create on my own schedule, and to align my work with my values.
Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned are to ask for help when you need it and not to let pride or fear keep you stuck. I want the world to feel empowered to choose—to consciously create a life that feels aligned and expansive. No matter what path you take, there will be challenges. So why not choose the path that sets your soul on fire? I want people to be able to look back and say, “Hell yeah, I did that. I listened to myself. I trusted my gut.”
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I’m from San Diego and the first thing I’d take them to is Balboa Park to check out the buskers, the art, and the architecture. If it’s a Saturday, I’d take them to the Little Italy Farmer’s Market for some local vendors and food. To top off the night, we’d get some sushi from Ototo Sushi in Point Loma and take it to Sunset Cliffs to watch the sunset. I’m a big fan of all the serene nature we have in SD and would want to show that off.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A lot of my entrepreneurial inspiration has come from YouTubers like Eamon & Bec, Sky Cowans, Alyse Parker, and Nicholas Ashbaugh. Each of them took a leap of faith and followed their heart’s calling, which deeply inspires me. They’re living proof that when you intentionally and consistently pursue what you love, success and a fulfilling life naturally follow.
