We had the good fortune of connecting with Raisa Sendrovich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Raisa, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
When you think about working with a celebrity and managing their social media, you immediately think of all the excitement and glamour that comes with it—which there is a ton of and definitely a major perk of the business. What you don’t think about is the work that goes into it. There’s no such thing as a regular work week with set hours. You’re always on the clock and monitoring the latest trends and sentiments on your clients pages. Whether you’re traveling home for the holidays or attending a wedding, if something goes down there’s no time to lose. As much as you get to travel the world and attend major events, you’re still working—even on the “off days.” And as much as that seems like a lot, when you love your job it never seems like work!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Candidly Social understands the serious side of the entertainment world. Social isn’t just a hobby, it is a part of their bread ‘n’ butter! We treat everyone as close-knit family and…we go all out for our family. We work hard getting legit exposure while showcasing your brand authentically. We celebrate your individuality and differences rather than clumping you into the same box and tired systems. No shady buying followers, we deliver straight up social media exposure consistently without the “cringe-worthy” marketing tactics. It wasn’t always easy, but persistence and perseverance is what got us to where we are now. Was it worth it? Totally.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s so many things to do in LA that a week wouldn’t cover it all!
Usually when you’re visiting LA, it can be overwhelming with all that there is to do and you’re always expecting to run into the hottest celebs. I would start with brunch at 1212 in Santa Monica where you get live music, bottomless mimosas and good vibes. Next, we would take a trip to Malibu for a quick break from the city and a beach day. For dinner we would go to Catch LA for their amazing food and celeb sightings and of course top off the night with a concert at one of the many iconic venues!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I had a friend from elementary school who was born to be a star. He toured with the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus in their prime Disney days. We’ve always kept in touch and were both always motivated to work in the entertainment industry. When I graduated college, we started our very first business: a PR firm. He taught me the ropes and opened my eyes to the creative side of the entertainment industry. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him and that PR experience!
