We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramblin Eddie Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ramblin Eddie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risks is thee name of the game. When I was a younger lad the Corporation I worked for moved to Texas and I stayed behind . I left a lot of money on the table and could’ve easily have settled , moved to Texas, and bought a 6 bedroom house like every one else. I took a huge risk by staying behind. I started a band called Electric Children we record and tour. Also I’m a small business owner and have a stake in a few companies and all of that happened because I took a very well calculated risk.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We Are Electric Children. We make music, art, we support our fellow underground artists, we don’t ” Pay to Play” there for you won’t find cheesy articles about us in cheesy blogs. We book 300+ shows a year to support our fellow underground artists and we make music, records , and play as much as our schedule allows us. I’m proud that I’ve never had to send some one a message on Facebook asking or begging them to listen to my music or click on my art. I’ve learned that by avoiding some of the nonsense mentioned above we will be around for a long time unlike those that are trying to buy their claim to fame. I want the world to hear all my favorite artists so I’ve setting up a platform that will make that happen. P.S.. Spotify Still Sucks.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend would be highly against me sharing this.  Well I shall share away anyway ….

If a pal was visiting here’s how our day would start:
Before my pal(s) wake’s up I shower , do some chanting (I’m a Nicheren Shoshu Buddhist ), and then juice my breakfast. Once my pal(s) wake up we head out to Griffith Park and go for a jog. The Clock says it’s Noon so no know we head over to thee local record stores and stock up on wax. When the vinyl is safely secured we drive over to the Arclight or New Beverly Cinema. Movie is over!!!! It’s lunch time and since Mediterranean Food is my favorite food on this planet OFF! to Beverly Hills we go !!! Dinner is over and it’s dessert time !! We walk over to Teuscher’s for some Swedish chocolate.  In Calories We Don’t Trust .. time to burn off some fat. We drive over to the South Bay where they have some of the prettiest women and beaches ever!!!! Malibu is no good… Manhattan Beach Rules in every sense of the word. The Sun is now setting so I put the put the top down and drive back to the Haunted Hills of Silver Lake….
