We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramin Schultz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ramin, how does your business help the community?
We plant one tree for every Keebos product sold. We work with the NGO One Tree Planted. It was really important to us to collaborate with a reputable and trusted organization. We want our customers to trust in our mission and understand that their support furthers a real sustainable future. Planting trees has 6 main environmental impacts, so for each tree planted there are immediate and long term positive implications to the planet. Additionally our packaging is eco-friendly and biodegradable.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We help people around the world to keep their phone accessible and safe while avoiding them from losing and dropping it. Next to our unique style and colors, our mission is really important to us. As mentioned earlier we plant trees for every Keebos sold and our packaging is eco-friendly. Also, in terms of functionality, Keebos crossbody cases have an adjustable strap and a convenient pocket with a finger straps, that makes it much easier to hold your phone in one hand – one of our customers favorite features. The journey of building the company hasn’t always been easy. When you run a company you have to make hard decisions every day, but every time I receive a message from a happy customer it keeps me going. Customer Satisfaction is a high priority to us here at Keebos. It’s a central pillar within the company. When someone decides to purchase Keebos, we understand they are making a choice to spend some of their hard-earned money on our product, in place of other things they could buy. So we always want to ensure the best possible experience and product for each and every customer.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a little biased because I live in Venice, but definitely Abbot Kinney Boulevard. There are amazing food spots, bars and boutiques. It’s the perfect mix of unique local stores and known brands. You can also easily walk, bike or scooter to the beach from Abbot Kinney. Next to that I like like Rose Avenue, it has similar vibes and I love the Sushi restaurant Wabi here! Actually all of Keebos products are named after streets in Venice, and I think it’s the most beautiful city in LA.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely have to shout out and thank my family and close friends because they are always there to support me when I need help! I remember hearing Tobias Luetke, founder of Shopify, saying that when you start a company your family inevitably becomes part of the journey whether they want to or not, which I’ve found to be true. Books that inspired me to start a company are The Lean Start-up by Eric Ries, Traction and The 4-Hour Work Week, by Tim Ferris.
