Meet Rashad Todd | Actor/Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rashad Todd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rashad, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Most of my childhood, I grew up in Moreno Valley, California, which is about an hour east of Los Angeles. Although we were in the suburbs, we still had our share of struggles. However, as a family we made our problems look easy by always having a good time.

Growing up, my family would always gather during the weekends and holidays. At one point, half of my family lived in the same apartment complex in different units. We would always laugh and joke and have a good time.

I feel my background has made me the positive man I am today who tries to enjoy life and have fun.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Thank you, Shoutout, for the opportunity and the readers for taking the time to read my spread. I am Rashad Todd, and I am a trained actor, model, content creator, brand ambassador and so much more. I like to call myself Mr. All Things Creative. I have also produced, written, and directed short films. Recently, I was the lead creative director / model coordinator for a fashion show produced by I AM Musicology. I can currently be seen on The Prank Panel which airs on ABC and Hulu.

It was a long journey to get the credits I mentioned above, therefore the journey was not easy. Once you put in the work, network, and speak positive things into the Universe, opportunities will magically happen. To overcome challenges, I keep a positive mindset and stay in the race to win. I am also a firm believer in prayer to God.

So, stay prayed up and your blessings will come.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ooh I love this question. We are going to have a good time and check out all the hot spots. This is sunny LA, so it would only make sense to chill out on the beach. There is this beach spot I love to go to in Palos Verdes that you must hike down a trail to get to. Or you can sit at the top of the hill and watch the view of the ocean.

We will for sure be downing some mimosas at somebody’s rooftop brunch spot. The Highlight Room in Hollywood is a great place for a rooftop pool & view. Harriet’s on Sunset also has a great rooftop vibe with good music.

I’m sure there will be a day party, block party, or pool party going on, so we will attend one of those events. Although I’m not much of a night party guy anymore, I would take my friend to Skybar on Sunset for a few drinks then we would slide through West Hollywood. A good game night with friends would be fun too.

Of course, a party isn’t a party if we don’t hike at Runyon Canyon and overlook the city.

This is LA, home of the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffle, so it’s only right to get an Obama Special.

Then I’m sending Bestie on their lovely way back home so I could detox all the liquor and food from the week.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

First, shoutout goes to my parents. I am thankful to have the love and support from both my mom and dad. My Dad stated how he came across me on TV the other day and explained that he was happy to see the happiness in me. My mom has always been a great mother to me and my brothers.

There are a couple of books I’ve read that has had an impact on me. The first book is called Jump by Steve Harvey. This book motivated me to take risks and have faith on my journey to success. I also give credit to this documentary called The Secret which helped me connect to the universe and manifest my dreams.
