We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Nolan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, I always knew I never wanted to work for someone else. From early on, my biggest fear was being trapped. I never wanted to be locked into a physical job, a fixed location, a life designed by someone else’s rules. That fear became my fuel.

I became obsessed with finding a way to design my own life. One where I could work from anywhere, travel the world, and have genuine freedom over my time. So I started building a personal brand — and what happened next changed everything. I began collaborating with brands and businesses I actually cared about, traveling to places I’d only dreamed of, and realizing that the possibilities were truly limitless when you own your platform and your audience.

I used to work at Starbucks back when I was 16 years old and from that moment I knew that I never wanted to work a 9-5 ever again. I never wanted to trade an hour of my life from a burger, and that’s when my online journey started.

I connected with my co-founder Jerry earlier this year. We both saw the same thing: there are so many people out there with this exact dream — to work online, travel freely, build something that’s theirs — but they never pursue it because they don’t know how, and more importantly, they don’t know how to monetize it.

So we built The Creator Pod. Because the dream is real. The path just needs to be clearer and everyone deserves the chance to follow their dreams.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from a lot of people is that I have this undeniable belief that I will succeed in life. I know for a fact that I will succeed, and I’m just so hungry to explore the world, experience everything, to achieve, to conquer, and I will do whatever it takes. I think a lot of people are too scared to go all in on their dreams, and they don’t have that drive that I do.

I’m most proud of and excited about this new business I launched with my cofounder, Jerry, called the creator pod that helps people work online and monetize their personal brand. My life honestly feels like a dream. I’m a full time content creator and a CEO of two businesses, and I travel the world. I can travel to wherever I want, whenever. I’ve been to fifty two countries, andI have this hunger to explore and to achieve and to become the best version of myself in every single way.

How I got to where I am today, business wise, is I started working at Starbucks at 16. I’ve always been entrepreneurial since I was a child, but I started working at Starbucks when I was sixteen years old, and I hated that I had to trade my time for money. It was horrible, and I never want to do that again.

So I got into influencer management, and then I did influencer marketing. I did social media management, social media marketing. And eventually, after learning all these skills of content, I was building my personal brand along the way and building a following on social media. I realized the power of a personal brand. So then I launched the creator pod from there, with my co-founder, Jerry, because I wanna help other people take advantage of the power of social media.

I experimented a lot with different, forms of working online, but more of the challenges I faced were personal. I never really believed I would fail in anything. And along the way, I want people to know that, like, the journey of individuation and the journey of coming home to yourself and learning about yourself is a lonely one, but it’s so freeing.

Society now tells us that you need to, like, work your life away in order to find success, but I find that wrong. I think what’s more important is to be good within yourself and have your heart opened and and feel good within you. And from there, then you’ll reach true success. Like, the things I feel like a lot of people think they know what they want, but they only want what they think they should want. Like, they’re they’re not really connected to their true goal and their heart and their dream, and it’s really important to be connected to yourself before working so hard towards a goal because that goal might not even be yours. It might be what you think it should be.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My go-to week would start with an early morning surf at El Porto or Santa Monica — there’s nothing better than getting in the ocean before the city wakes up. From there, I’d walk the Santa Monica area, grab coffee, and hit the Sunday farmers market, which is genuinely one of the best in the country.

For slower days, I love hanging around Playa del Rey and Playa Vista — they have this relaxed, under-the-radar energy that most tourists completely miss. I’d throw in a hike up the Culver Steps for the views, and at least one day trip out to Malibu to explore the coastline. It’s the kind of week that feels like a permanent vacation — which, honestly, is exactly how I like to live.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my life coach Jerry. He has genuinely changed my life and guided me along this path of opening my heart, connecting to myself and individuating. Since he has came into my life, everything has changed in the best way possible: health, wealth, relationships and my spirituality. So thankful for him.

I’d also love to thank my father, he has always been there for me and supporting me along this journey. Much love.
