We had the good fortune of connecting with Reese El Don and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reese El Don, why did you pursue a creative career?
I personally pursued an artistic / creative career solely on expression and service to humanity. What pushed me to do so was the many souls I would cross paths with and find that my words, presence or aura affected them in a positive manner. I’m a empath in which i can feel energies, emotions and spirits of individuals and connecting that with my passion of music / creation was the best way to serve humanity.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art has its own world named “El Cantante” which in spanish translates to The Singer, The Lyricist etc. All music is made via chakras, positive affirmations & manifestation. Each song represents a lesson or a different plane of existence via mind. Im excited to release the project “El Cantante” 1/11/21 because metaphorically its reaching the peak or finish line of my life’s journey. Through hard work and persistence i’ve been able to overcome a mountain of challenges. The first step professionally was making the move in joining the military from philadelphia. It provided me with the opportunity to travel abroad and simultaneously promote / perform across the world . After suffering a heart surgery and a second chance at life my appreciation increased by learning the power of the mind and manifestation. To learn film I attended Film school and took a job at HiphopDX music blog in the videography department while being homeless in Hollywood and covering up my personal downfalls. It was a great sacrifice because it led to writing opportunities and opened up the underground world of hiphop ” ghostwriting” . Those opportunities led to currency and helped me get off the streets and into my own apartment. What i want the world to know is you can achieve anything if you stick with the plan.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a firm believer in the phrase ” the best things in life are free” unfortunately that doesn’t always apply to Los Angeles but most of my favorite places or on the cheaper side. I love the outdoors so for a week i would pick different hiking locations for early morning workouts. We would visit grand central station or some of the vast outdoor food truck havens / eating locations across Los Angeles . For sunset we would take in a amazing view preferably Malibu followed by a personally cooked dinner meal. I personally prefer to eat at home probably due to my appreciation for home cooking or past homelessness.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank and dedicate my Shoutout to Organic Everything LLC and Reese El Don (myself) for arming me with the principles of Resilience, Excellence & Discipline. I had every reason to give up on this life journey; I made it through multiple military tours overseas visiting over 20 countries , heart surgery, homelessness, and a slew of other barriers. While homeless i learned to reprogram my mind and subconscious and manifested a greater life.
