We had the good fortune of connecting with Remington Fraser and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Remington, how does your business help the community?
The Revury is an online luxury consignment shop – we curb the environmental impact of the fashion industry by extending the product lifecyle and reducing demand on new production.
Its the sustainable way to shop designer fashion (at prices up to 90% off retail!).
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Designer fashion for planet and people. That’s what we’re all about at The Revury!
By offering luxury consignment, we can extend the product lifecycle and offer the best brands at up to 90% off retail prices – creating a more sustainable (and affordable!) way to shop.
We’re excited to make designer fashion accessible and affordable! All while helping the environment. We’re building a guilt-free way of shopping, which is really exciting.
Formerly, I was an attorney practicing corporate law where I primarily represented fashion and apparel clients. It was scary to walk away from a stable, high-paying job, but after witnessing the behind-the-scenes impact of the fashion industry, I knew there had to be a better way to curb waste and introduce amazing brands to folks who might otherwise be priced out.
Along the way I learned that you can’t cut it alone. It takes a village to build a business and that can be a tough thing to admit. Especially for a strong-headed attorney, like myself. But, the best thing I’ve ever done is accept help and find the right people to join my team.
Never underestimate the power of scrappy, resourceful entrepreneurs. It’s incredible what can be accomplished.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ah, in a world without COVID, I would take my friend for a fancy coffee at Honor Coffee Rosters on Lido Street in Newport.
Followed by sailing in the Dana Point harbor.
Afternoon drinks at Craft House (a local watering hole in Dana Point).
And an early night in, because I’m “old” now and can’t make it past 9pm 😉
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout to my husband, sisters, parents and staff – I’ve got the dream team! Thanks guys for standing by me while launching the business and starting a family. Couldn’t do it without ya. Seriously.
