We had the good fortune of connecting with Rina Lateace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rina, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My work life balance has been extremely crazy as of lately . im still learning and trying to figure out my balance and working in time for my family because of lately I have dropped the ball in that area of my life . I.ve been sacrificing and missing family gatherings , birthdays ,everything for the sake of my business . Luckly for me I have a really supportive family and group of friends who understand my goals and where im trying to take my business within the next 3-5 years . im definitely working on better balancing my personal life with my work life . the fact that im so transparent with everybody in my life it really makes it easy when im not able to attend things last minute ,or if I need an extra set of hands for a Filler party .

What should our readers know about your business?
Body Garden is a Non-invasive Medi-spa . All of the treatments require no needles, no cutting , no anesthesia, no downtown. one of the things that set us apart is we are vegan and cruelty free. I try my very very hardest to only use and sell skin and body products in store and online that are cruelty free and natural . I live a natural life style and im always promoting for my clients to eat as clean as possible , so it only makes sense that I make sure that the brands I sell and use for my clients represent my life style . this journey has been a really tough journey . I started this business in the middle of the pandemic , which is already extremely risky ,then I decided to open a business . a lot of the challenges I faced so far has really just not knowing what’s going to happen with covid and having things change so much so im just always prepping for the ” if this happens ” type of situation . my business is still growing , but ive put in a lot of work in the 3 months that we have been open. a lot of work with marketing and just getting the name out there. one of the main lessons ive learned is that you have to keep moving , you can not stop moving you can not stop going .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
first things first if you are coming to LA we are definitely heading to Downtown to LA cafe for the lobster grilled cheese . we are going to shopping down melrose blvd . definitely doing to contact my brother and friend since high school DJ Cheeseburger and see what day party he is hosting that day . I can’t forget to head over to Versailles on pico for lunch . Versailles is one of my favorite restaurants in the city , they have some of the best Cuban food in LA. . head over to the Getty , because the Getty is truly a remarkable gem in the city. I would contact marquis diamond of “secret society ” to make sure we are on every guest list for anything going on that night . we would pregame for the night down in Santa Monica at the roof top inside the Huntley hotel , the view at night is breathtaking . a few of my other fav spots is Diddy Reese and habibi in Westwood . the sportsman lodge and pinz in studio city . I can’t forget the polo lounge inside the Beverly Hills hotel , and my favorite two late night spots , berries on 3rd and bosa nova .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
when it comes to support my mother and grand mother is hands down two of the biggest supporters I have in my life. my mom has not only encouraged but been the biggest cheerleader in anything I have done in my life. when it comes to my business my mom is always there to lend a hand , correct me when im wrong , be a model , be my therapist on days when life is just not on my side. I actually look to my mom a lot for advice being that she is a nurse and with me going into nursing she is like my go to for any thing medical . my grand mother is definitely my motivation and outside of my mom some ones who shoes I strive to be able to walk in . because my grand mother has owned several successful businesses in her life time, I take every conversation to heart that me and her have about running and operating a beauty business. the fact that im able to have a person so close to me that owned 2 nail shops in two metropolitan cities at the same time who lets me pick their brain and take up their precious time with all of my questions is a true blessing . but combined those two deserve all the credit in the world for always supporting me .
