Hi Rita, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk-taking in business can be a transformative and pivotal decision in one’s life and career. In my case, I had the security of a well-paying county job with attractive benefits, which could have kept me content until retirement. However, I made the bold choice to venture into the unknown and open my own business in 2017. This decision involved taking a significant risk, as I would have to forgo a regular paycheck and commit to working exponentially more hours each week. The pursuit of my entrepreneurial dream demanded meticulous research and an unwavering determination. Through this experience, I learned the importance of calculated risk-taking and the value of resilience. It has shaped my life and career by imparting valuable lessons about seizing opportunities and never giving up. Since then I have utilized the skills of risk taking to open new businesses such as MegaFit by Lagree.

What should our readers know about your business?
MegaFit is a Lagree studio with 2 locations; one in Glendale (Kenneth Village) and our newest location in La Canada Flintridge. We offer interactive group classes that help motivate and push our students to new levels. We also have the ability to individualized workouts, tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals, while creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that fosters a sense of community and achievement. I am incredibly proud of the growth of our students. We’ve watch them get stronger, more confident and some have turned into instructors due to the love of our studio. I am thrilled about the future plans of MegaFit, which includes expanding to more locations and bringing the Lagree method to a broader audience.

Our business growth can be attributed to multiple factors but the main source was word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied clients. Social media is also another way we saw growth and engagement that helped drive traffic to our studio. It absolutely was not easy and it didn’t happen over night. Obstacles and challenges are part of business and it’s pivotal to strategize and tailor solutions that are sustainable for the long run.

As an entrepreneur, the most significant lesson I have learned is the importance of being versatile and capable of assuming various roles within you business. This adaptability allows you to jump in and perform any necessary position, ensuring the smooth operation and success of my venture.

MegaFit is the studio that will help support you in pursuing your fitness goals while fostering the understanding that your body is more powerful than you realize. We strive to empower individuals by challenging the limits their minds may impose, reminding them of their remarkable capabilities and unlocking their potential for even greater accomplishment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am either a home body or a beach bum. I probably wouldn’t stay in LA haha. Book a trip to Miramar and enjoy the beach for a week.
