We had the good fortune of connecting with Roberta King and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roberta, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the most important factors behind our brand success is giving our clients 100% commitment to their project. Whether they are a fortune 500 company or a solopreneur everyone is a VIP client.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are a couple who have been married for 18 years. We make mistakes together and succeed together. We both come from a corporate back ground but have always shared a passion for creativity through photography, writing and painting. Shawn and I discovered a love for film making and took several classes and then started working with independent film production companies in LA and Hollywood. Being community driven we became involved with local film festivals and community events. We found that the Entertainment industry was a little more self driven then what we wanted to identify with and decided to start out on our own in 2009. We took our love, creativity and expertise in film making and created the Kings Touch Video Production & Cinematography. We wanted to bring a higher level of customer service and professionalism to video production services without the extreme price tag especially to those looking to elevate their brand or have their current brand stand out and who traditionally could never afford the quality and experience. Having raised 7 children has always been a blessing but as creative business owners there was always a challenge during financial hardships to just take anything to pay the bills but we made a joint decision to always be mindful of the legacy of good character we leave our children. As a couple we are best friends first who love what we do and enjoy working together. We try to bring that joy to our clients by making the whole production and filming process as stress free as possible. We try to bring their message, passion and story to life and give them a tool that helps them grow as a business/entrepreneurs. Being the creatives we are there isn’t a a production too small or to big. We have shot restaurants, breweries, photographers, large bands like L’oreal, life events, business associations, corporations, conventions NAB, CES and more. Our goal is to not only meet our clients needs in video services but give them more than what they expected.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week we would start in San Diego at Balboa park a historical, cultural and architectural journey then lunch in LIttle Italy (need a say more) then dinner at Island Prime C-level for a gorgeous view of the water during our meal .We would take them on a quick Vegas trip and start with a great foodie experience at EAT and drinks at Downtown cocktail room and the best ribs at Ellis Island Casino then end in LA for a visit to LA Live for Mexicon food at the legendary El Cayote. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
