We had the good fortune of connecting with Ron Kamran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ron, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Being able to provide an escape for another individual in hopes of spreading happiness and developing a deep, emotional connection.

This makes me happy because there have been other individuals who have done the same for me and it has given me the hope and inspiration to follow my own dream.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I gained interest in music production at a young age. I originally started out producing hip-hop and rap beats. After losing patience on finding an artist to “complete” my work with vocals, I decided to dive deeper into production (sound design, mixing, mastering, etc). This lead me to the start of my edm production journey. I believe I am different than other artists in the same field due to my struggles in the past, how I channel my emotions into my projects, and I intend to make electronic music more popular across the board. I’ve learned how important networking is in the music world and how there is an art to maintaining the balance needed for a successful music career long term. It wasn’t easy working a full time day job while being a full time artist, but it increased my stress tolerance, preparing me for multi-tasking while staying level-headed in the future. I want the world to know that I started out as an immigrant, made it to this country with very little, and am now able to live the life I want based off consistent hard work. I believe everyone of us is capable of doing what we want in life, even if its seems impossible.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
An authentic Mexican restaurant (Cactus Grill in Manassas, VA) would have priority over most food choices as Mexican food is my favorite. I would also have to visit my mother’s home as no restaurant I’ve ever visited has been able to replicate the flavor and passion put into a home kitchen with years of family traditions passed down from generation to generation. I like to be involved in nature or stay active, so going kayaking, the gym, or swimming would be a must for a week long trip. One of the most fun places for me to hang out is in my studio room as I am able to produce music or practice mixing live dj sets in the comfort of my own home (this was not always the case).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother deservers a special shoutout. Without her providing for my family during hard times in the past. I would not be aware of the opportunities that I have in life.
