We had the good fortune of connecting with Dan Beck and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dan, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Golf and craft beer are in my WHEELHOUSE OF HAPPY !!
When I’m doing my BREWS WITH BECK beer reviews for my YouTube Channel, drinking beer with friends, playing golf, and/or watching PGA Golf I couldn’t be a happier man. I guess the reason I love reviewing craft beer and playing golf is because there is plenty of thought that goes into both – combined with relaxation and extreme enjoyment. For example, drinking a phenomenal barrel-aged coffee stout and/or making great shots on the course take a lot of thinking/precision and a the same time create the best feeling and relaxation I can think of.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My Brews With Beck YouTube channel is a perfect example of a quote I saw a long time ago… “Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it; Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”
I started Brews with Beck last year by not being totally prepared or ready to start the channel, but I knew that if I just started it I would start the evolution process of the beer review channel I had always envisioned. I am very proud of how far Brews with Beck has come in terms of quality, entertainment, interaction, and growth of my audience. Since starting the channel I am also super proud that I have become an official contributor of Houston Beer Guide and All Things Trail Running.
I have learned that it’s both easy to start a YouTube Channel yet sometimes hard to hear constructive criticism and build on feedback. I have taken all the feedback with an open/positive mind and my brand/channel are reaping the benefits of growth, precision, and expanded creativity.
I want to world to know how much I love being a connoisseur of beer, what beers are stellar, and to give them a piece of my quirky /comedic /offbeat personality while I do it. Oh, and my diehard fandom for my CU Buffs, Denver Broncos, and Denver Nuggets. So on that note… GO BUFFS, GO BRONCOS, GO NUGGETS. Enjoy your cold beverages! And we’ll see you out there.
