We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosi & Sara Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rosi & Sara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It all started in middle/high school, during yearbook club! We both participated and even became editors in chief for our school yearbooks. We mainly did sports photography, where we invested in lenses and equipment to best capture the live events such as soccer, volleyball, etc! We had so much fun. Then, some of those soccer players for example asked us to take prom photos, then photos for their graduation, etc! We started posting some of our content for fun at first, then family and friends started to ask and book us for events. For our first wedding, we did photo and video for a whopping $100 😭 It was truly just for fun and we needed to value ourselves and our work more and then as time went by we started working with an entertainment company as well. Therefore, as we advanced we realized we brought something valuable to the table, two photographers who know each other well, and can offer the best to our clients having two perspectives. Which we know is essential to have especially for weddings (catching his reaction/her walking down aisle). It is a family feeling, working together and seeing as our clients turn friends turn to family!

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets us apart from others is our dynamic duo we make as sisters and photographers. 2 is always better than one! Not only do we have a blast working with each other, but we are more confident in delivering the best results to our clients and couples! If you’ve got two photographers, that means you’ve got two people who can capture two different angles of every shot and those in between moments.
With another set of eyes and another brain working alongside each other, we are able to help our couples have the most carefree + efficient day/session possible. It has definitely not been the easiest as we were/are both full time students working to help pay tuition and our payments in passion for becoming educators and being involved in our community!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Are we talking at LA city? – Porto’s
– Disneyland (of course)
– Griffith Observatory
– Santa Monica Pier
– Callejones
– Rodeo Drive

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to: Mom, the “photojournalist” of our family. Taking photos at every moment and time, 40k photos on her phone. At the time we might have thought it was a hassle to stop and take a picture After all the years, we are SO thankful for those moments she has captured. I guess it ran in the family 😉
