Hi Rosie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have always thought about risks as a necessary element for anyone pursuing entrepreneurship. Taking risks has played a huge role in the development of my business and I attribute my willingness to take them to my Godfidence (confidence in God). I take necessary steps related to advancing in my career even when I’m not sure of the “how”. As humans, we often question ourselves when it comes to taking leaps of faith but I have discovered that as I step out on faith it allows an opportunity for abundance and blessings to flow into my business, and nothing is lacking. I encourage anyone reading this to plan for the life that you want out to live because living on purpose is truly the best way to live out your days.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Garnish by Rosie offers Natural Hairstyling and Makeup services. I have been in business for the past 3. years and I am excited to achieve levels of growth and expansion with my business.

Being Consistent and remaining dedicated to my goals are what have brought me to where I am today. I decided to quit my former job as a TSA officer and pursue my passion in the Beauty Industry. I have continued going ever since and I am grateful for the loyal clients that have supported me and encouraged me along the way.

Of course, not! Nothing worth having comes easy. I have learned many lessons along the way and have grown as a person being in the service industry. Dealing with people forces you to develop in ways that are necessary for your success in the long run. My favorite lesson is customer service and upholding the Golden Rule to treat others how I want to be treated. Being in this industry humility is a huge characteristic that is important for one to obtain in order to have longevity in their business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to Kenneth Hahn Park for a nice outdoor walk. I also enjoy eating at Truxtons Restaurant in Westchester. We would have to go shopping. I personally enjoy shopping with Perfect TIming Boutique which is a black-owned mobile boutique in Los Angeles. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
