Meet Ruthie Odom | Spiritual Guide of the Modern Mystery School

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruthie Odom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ruthie, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We are drowning and the world is offering us… water.

The work I do offers a ladder.

I help people to rise out of the hell of this world, not by leaving the world, but by teaching people how to take control of their mind, emotions, energy system, and purpose, and apply those things toward real solutions.

To change the world you have to first change yourself. To change yourself, you have to know yourself and apply your will to the struggle of knowing yourself. To know yourself you must overcome your own subconscious reactivity. You must learn how you perceive and respond to life. Its not always easy, but it is highly rewarding. As you see yourself clearer, you will be able to accomplish more, and with that comes hope. Hope that change is possible. Hope that there is a better way.

There is always a solution. Whether the problem is global or right in front of you, there is always a way.

The work I do reminds people that we are not trapped to a cycle of despair. We are not defined by what society says, religion says, or mainstream media says. That we are sovereign beings capable of building a life of marvels.

And being able to offer a path out of these many hells, provides a sense of hope unlike anything I’ve seen.

Hope is by far the greatest gift I provide my community. And sometimes, a little bit of hope is all you need to build a world of peace and to be the hero of your own life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The reason a lot of my clients shift, heal, and succeed in life is because they finally are able access the source of their problems and do something about it. If you have tried to heal something and have applied every tool – from therapy, to medication, to working out, to yoga, to reading – and still come up short, then you may not be addressing the root cause of your pain.

That is where I come in.

I teach ancient healing technologies that help people live a greater life.

A client walks into my door, and I offer a Life Activation session and the Empower Thyself Program. That is the foundation.

The Life Activation is an energy healing that provides greater insight to where your ego, subconscious mind, and attachments hinder your progress.

Empower Thyself offers tools to help you break free of those negative cycles and constructs.

This is the platform of success for all my clients. From there, I guide each person according to their individual needs and wants. This includes a unique blend of teaching, coaching, and offering other advanced healing sessions. I tailor my recommendations to the client’s healing goals.

Some people want to heal anxiety. Some want to heal from addictions. Others may want better relationships. And some people just want to expand their worldview. No matter the starting point, the tools I offer work. They can be applied toward any situation and in any direction the client desires.

Why this work has such a broad reach is because it is spiritual in nature. The spirit is infinite. Full of limitless possibilities, but most people don’t see themselves that way. When we forget that we have a spiritual origin, it is easy to lose ourselves. And when we don’t have a clear path to connect with who we are as spirit, then we will often sacrifice our own free will and choice to the desire of others.

The most spiritual quest you can make is the quest to know yourself. When we don’t know ourselves, we will default to past programming, expectations, or the will of other people. When we continuously make choices in this way, we start to build a personality that might exist far, far away from who we truly are.

And when you are living out of alignment, it will bring great harm to your mind, body, soul, and spirit. It will slowly syphon joy and lead to apathy, anxiety, and/or depression.

Therefore the solution is to know yourself, and know that you are not only a physical being, or a mental being, but a spiritual being. And some of your problems may have a spiritual origin that you are not addressing.

To heal a spiritual pain, you need a spiritual tool.

The spiritual tools I provide my clients differ from other spiritual work because they are rooted in lineage. I am trained in the lineage of King Salomon through the Modern Mystery School and offer advanced healing techniques that are thousands of years old.

They just work and have worked well beyond my lifetime. The tools speak for themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
LA has great sushi. I love Omakase and recently visited a new spot called Kogane. Definitely one of the most authentic, yet creative sushi experiences I have ever had. Highly recommend.

Before you go, make an appointment to have a Tea Tasting at Tea Habitat. It’s nearby and serves some of the best single-sourced tea in the world.

I live in Long Beach and love my coffee, so I definitely have to bring folks to Wide Eyes Open Palms. They serve excellent coffee and amazing farm-to-table breakfast. The owners are also top-notch folks.

Long Beach is an amazing little, urban oasis. If you catch yourself down here and want to feel on top of the world, go catch the sunset at hilltop park. Everything the light touches belongs to… LA county. But! Sometimes getting a higher perspective of where you live can heal the soul in a different way.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first shoutout goes to Hannah Soares. She is supporting me in ways I couldn’t image. If you spend 30 seconds or 30 years with her, your life will be better for it. She is a light, and I am so so grateful that she gives me even an ounce of her attention. Thank you.

To my great friend Zuyapa Jackson, a fellow Mystery School Guide in New Orleans LA. She is an exceptional healer, one of the wisest people I know, and never ceases to help me make sense of this world. Thank you.
