We had the good fortune of connecting with RYAN BATISTE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi RYAN, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
It may sound cliche but creating, playing and experiencing music makes me the happiest these days!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My music is a raw extension of my identity, with each piece serving as a sonic reflection of my shifting moods and emotional states. I am incredibly proud of the growth I’ve achieved in my craft; when I listen to my earlier work compared to my current releases, the technical progression in mixing, editing, production, and lyricism is clear. Getting to this point was far from easy, but my journey has been fueled by unwavering dedication and the resilience required to turn my dreams into reality. I want the world to know that my brand is built on this foundation of perseverance, and I am committed to sharing my authentic story through every note I create.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a week to show a best friend the magic of New Orleans, I would focus on the city’s incredible rhythm and soul. Sundays are non-negotiable: you have to catch a second line—the energy is infectious and can easily take up your entire day. On Monday nights, I head to Frenchmen Street for the jam sessions; it’s the perfect place to hang out with talented musicians and network with the local community. Tuesdays are for relaxing, and while Taco Tuesday is a universal tradition, New Orleans has some truly standout Mexican spots that hit the spot. Wednesday nights are best spent at the Dew Drop for their vibrant open mic and jam session. On Thursdays, we’d head to the Blue Nile for reggae night—just be sure to bring your lungs because it gets nice and cloudy upstairs. By the time Friday and Saturday roll around, the city is buzzing, and I could name a million lounges and bars where you’re guaranteed a great night out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my family. They are the foundation of our legacy and the reason why every member of the Batiste family pursues music with such passion and dedication.
