Meet Sabrina Hyman | Event Planner & Wellness Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Hyman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabrina, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wish I could say I stumbled into this, or that I always knew this was exactly what I wanted to do right out of school—but that wasn’t my path. The journey really began with a period of deep self-discovery and intentional research during my Saturn return.
I’ve always been someone who’s passionate about professional development, and I love reading books in the personal growth space. But it wasn’t until I was planning my wedding that I really started thinking beyond my career trajectory and executive-level goals. That time in my life opened up my mindset to explore what it meant to thrive not just professionally, but relationally, spiritually, and financially—especially as I prepared to build a life and future family with my now-husband.
We knew we wanted to start a family, and I became increasingly focused on setting up my health and finances in a way that would support not just us, but future generations. We often hear about “generational wealth,” but I became captivated by the idea of generational health—setting a holistic foundation that goes beyond money.
Two books in particular had a huge impact on my mindset: The 5AM Club by Robin Sharma and Money: Master the Game by Tony Robbins. I was initially reluctant to read The 5AM Club—I wouldn’t call myself a morning person—but it kept popping up as a recommendation, so I finally committed to listening on Audible. Even a small change in my wake-up time made a big difference. It helped me develop a strong morning and evening routine, which created space for reflection and focus. Robbins’ book, on the other hand, completely shifted how I thought about money and made me question why I was working for someone else when I could be building something of my own.
Ultimately, starting my business was about designing a life that made me happier, healthier, and more financially empowered. Within a year, I committed to growth—read constantly, ran my first marathon, bought my first home, and launched Sol Soiree. It was all part of an intentional transformation toward a more aligned and fulfilling life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When someone searches “Event Planner in Los Angeles,” they might land on me—but what sets Sol Soirée apart is the heart behind every detail. I approach each event with a lens of sustainability, inclusivity, and intentionality. My goal is to create gatherings that feel approachable and deeply personal, celebrating the unique stories of each client and their community.
Before launching my business, I spent a decade in commercial real estate, which gave me a solid foundation in project management and vendor coordination. That experience translates directly into how I run events—with professionalism, structure, and care. But beyond the logistics, I genuinely believe every gathering holds meaning. Whether it’s a dinner party or a wedding, each moment is an opportunity to reflect who we are and what we value.
Getting to this point wasn’t easy. I spent years working a full-time 9–5 job, then using evenings and weekends to build my business, attend industry events, and gain hands-on experience with other planners. It meant saying no to social plans and protecting my energy for what really mattered. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone will walk with you through every phase—and sometimes, growth requires letting go.
What I hope people know about Sol Soirée is that it’s more than a business—it’s the next chapter in a family legacy. My story begins with four immigrants, each from different countries, who all found their way to Los Angeles in the 1960s. My grandparents have been a guiding force in my life, and their courage and dreams live on in me. The branding for Sol Soirée—with its nod to 1960s Southern California—is a tribute to them. It symbolizes a return to their roots, but through my own lens.
Starting Sol Soirée was my leap of faith. Like them, I chose to leave behind the comfort of the familiar in pursuit of something bigger. It takes a special kind of bravery to believe in something that doesn’t exist yet—and that’s the spirit behind everything I do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
South Bay Day
Kick off the morning with a Lagree class at The Studio (MDR), then refuel with breakfast at Urth Caffé in South Bay. Bring the dog along and spend the afternoon strolling The Strand in Manhattan Beach, with plenty of time for shopping and soaking up the sun. For the evening, head to El Segundo: dinner at North Italia, dessert at Van Leeuwen’s, and maybe wrap up the night with a round at Top Golf.
Beverly Hills / Century City Day
Start with brunch at The Cabana Cafe inside my favorite pink palace—The Beverly Hills Hotel. Then it’s off to Robertson for some window shopping (furniture and fashion, obviously). Grab an afternoon pick-me-up at Alfred before heading over to Century City Mall to spend the rest of the day browsing, shopping, and people-watching.
WeHo Day
This one’s strictly for Sundays—start with brunch at Hamburger Mary’s, then hit up the Melrose Trading Post for some vintage finds and good vibes. After that, it’s day drinking along Santa Monica Boulevard and, if you’re still standing, dinner at Laurel Hardware to close it out in style.
Mid-City Day
Grab lunch at the Farmers Market before wandering around The Grove. Then it’s time for a little culture: explore LACMA and the La Brea Tar Pits. End the day with a feast—Korean BBQ in Koreatown, of course.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, Mom – You raised me as a single mother and taught me to be fearless, to explore life’s joys and hobbies, to be the best version of myself, and never to take anyone else’s BS. And of course, you gifted me all my favorite woo-woo tricks—thank you for that magic.
To my husband – Since we were 15, you’ve always been my biggest cheerleader. You’ve never wavered in your faith in me, always trusting my next steps and encouraging me forward with confidence and love.
To my stepmom – Thank you for being a steady presence through every big career decision—always showing up with a spreadsheet and a game plan. Your support and structure meant everything.
To all the incredible women I’ve worked for – Rachel, Ruta, and Allison—true unicorns in commercial real estate. Your mentorship shaped my early career, and I leaned on your strength, wisdom, and guidance more than you’ll ever know.
