Meet Sabrina Mccarthy | Dancer / choreographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Mccarthy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi sabrina, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think since a very young age I’ve always had the perspective that without risk there is no reward. A of the greatest leaders and successful people in the world have taken huge risks to get to where they are.
I also think without risk means you choose to stay comfortable and with our uncomfortability we can’t grow

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m most excited about upcoming travels for teaching, I have a a tour around Asia and Europe coming up where I’ll be teaching at some of the biggest dance camps. I’m also excited to begin a new journey in Los Angeles soon by obtaining my O1 visa so I can move and work there.
It’s definitely not been an easy journey getting to where I am. I’m all the way from Australia so it takes a lot to up and move your whole life for your career and then ofcourse all the steps and challenges you face even just existing within the dance industry.
I’ve learnt to be resilient to trust myself and my own timing and journey .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I think in LA for me I would take them to the rose bowl flea market I loveeeee it there the food the vintage things you can buy, I’d take someone to Runyon canyon to show them the view of the city , I also love the shopping in DTLA too.
