Meet Sabrina Rogers | Life Coach & Social Media Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sabrina Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sabrina, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from Petersburg, Virginia, and I was raised by two incredible people I’ve proudly called my parents since I was in diapers. Although my mother is biologically my aunt, she and her husband—my dad—chose to raise me as their own when my birth mother was unable to provide the care I needed. My mom had originally decided not to have children, while my dad already had kids of his own and dreamed of raising one more. Together, they made a selfless decision that changed my life.
They gave me a home filled with love, security, and acceptance. I was never treated like anything less than their child—they raised me with unwavering love and made me feel like a true product of their bond. Their example showed me what it means to love unconditionally, to sacrifice for someone else’s well-being, and to choose family not just by blood, but by action.
At the same time, I experienced the painful contrast of having a biological mother who carried me into this world, yet often treated me with distance, absence, or rejection. I’ve also grieved the father I never had the chance to meet, as he passed away when I was young.
My upbringing shaped me in profound ways. It taught me the depth of love that comes from those who choose you—and the strength it takes to rise in the face of emotional absence. It made me resilient, compassionate, and deeply grateful for those who pour love into others, simply because they can.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Life Coach and Social Media Influencer focused on helping people shift their mindset, rediscover their purpose, and heal from the inside out. Through my online platforms—especially TikTok—I share faith-based encouragement, real-life experiences, and personal breakthroughs that inspire others to take control of their lives.
What sets me apart is my transparency. I don’t pretend to have it all together—I share the journey as I’m living it. I’ve built a brand rooted in authenticity, love, and empowerment. I believe people connect most with those who are real, and my goal is to be that voice that reminds someone they’re not alone in what they’re going through.
To deepen that impact, I also wrote a free eBook designed to help people navigate challenges and reinvent themselves into the person they truly want to become. It’s filled with mindset tools, journal prompts, and guidance that encourages self-reflection and forward movement. I wanted to create something people could return to whenever they feel stuck or disconnected from their purpose.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I’ve had to unlearn toxic patterns, face rejection, rebuild my confidence, and start over more times than I can count. There were moments I wanted to give up, but what kept me going was knowing that my story could be someone else’s survival guide.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that purpose often lives on the other side of pain. The things I thought would break me actually built me. I also learned that consistency matters more than motivation. Some days you won’t feel like showing up, but you do it anyway—because your calling requires it.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that this isn’t just about content or coaching—this is about impact. It’s about using my voice, my faith, and my story to help others step into the best version of themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The whole week would basically be a food tour—because if there’s one thing LA has completely changed for me, it’s my relationship with food and culture. Where I’m from, we mainly have soul food and American-style versions of other cuisines. But here in LA, you get to experience food that reflects true cultural roots and history, and I’d want my best friend to experience every bit of that.
We’d start at Javier’s for its stunning ambiance and authentic Hispanic dining. Then we’d head to Status Hollywood for some incredible Jamaican food—specifically their honey jerk lamb chops, which are absolutely unforgettable. One night we’d hit up Tao for the full experience: dramatic ambiance, delicious Asian fusion, and of course, a Lychee Martini. For a more coastal vibe, we’d go to Water Grill in Santa Monica for lunch—fresh oysters and a seafood tower—before renting bikes and riding along the beach from Santa Monica to Venice. You have to do that at least once when you’re here!
I’d also take her to one of my favorite self-care activities—Hot Yoga at Hot8 Yoga Studio. Back home, no one really talks about hot yoga, and it’s become something I truly love. For a classic LA experience, we’d hike to the Hollywood sign and soak in the views. Then of course, no trip is complete without a little nightlife. I’d take her to a day party at Harriet’s for the rooftop vibes and maybe even catch a “Black on the Block” festival if the timing is right. That’s one of my favorite events—seeing our culture come together to celebrate Black-owned businesses, eat good food, vibe to great music, and even do a few line dances.
LA has something for everyone—from wellness to nightlife to cultural celebrations. I’ve been so blessed to call this place home and I’d want my best friend to feel every ounce of what makes it so special.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d have to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and wisdom have carried me through every chapter of my life. No matter what goal I set or dream I chased, they always stood behind me—even when they didn’t fully understand it or agree with it, like when I made the decision to move across the country.
They’ve seen me for who I am, believed in me when I doubted myself, and consistently reminded me that there’s nothing I can’t accomplish. From a young age, they instilled in me the value of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Every piece of advice or constructive feedback has always come from a place of genuine love and care.
They’ve been mentors, protectors, providers, and examples of what it means to be good, selfless people. In a world where it’s sometimes hard to find that kind of genuine goodness, they’ve never wavered—and I’m endlessly grateful for the foundation they gave me.
