Meet Sal Framondi: Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sal Framondi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sal, how do you think about risk?
I don’t.  That’s the problem.   While some people question whether they should have done this or that, I’m questioning if I should have given a decade to each of my three business ventures that all had high rates of failure.  Fortunately, one did succeed.
Some people are risk-averse, I caution-averse.  I’m used to sacrificing decades of my life for a business venture.  I read one of those rehashed posts on Instagram.  It was a Stanley Tucci quote of all people.  I didn’t expect it from him.  He seems so happy-go-lucky. He said that “a dream that you don’t fight for can haunt you for the rest of your life.”  I do agree with him.  I will never be haunted.  I am not haunted by any past business.  I put 130% into every failure, and I put 110% into the successful one.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am an entrepreneur.  My artistic journey took me down a road where I was both an actor and a film producer.  I failed at being an actor and film producer, but I succeeded in understanding what it was to be an artist.  I succeeded in understanding how to work as if I was an artist. Most importantly, I succeeded in understanding why I failed.  That was when OPPRIME.tv was born.

I believe that there are stories that must be told, by artists who were born to tell these stories.  I believe that people with creativity, passion, and the ability to overcome adversity to tell their story, will in the process change the world.

So I created a distribution platform that would help these people stay in business so they can tell their stories.
1. We are like Spotify for film festivals and their filmmakers.
2. We have technology that gives the festival and filmmaker the ability to present their fans with a one-click-subscribe link.
3. Festivals and filmmakers get the commission they earn and deserve.
4. We market and promote our film festivals, filmmakers, and films to 80k followers across 15 social media platforms.

We honor the independent filmmaker.  The person grinding away to make their movie.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to Shoutout my father, If I got a B in school I got a stern talk, and if I got a C in school I got the belt. He taught me to work hard. He’s 93 now. Not as intense. Not as intimidating. Now he’s the one that watches too much useless television. I guess that I can look forward to being lazy if I get to 93.
