We had the good fortune of connecting with SARAH BEN3T and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SARAH, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have been dancing since I was 3 years old. Music was always a necessary part of my life. In my teen years, I found that I had an ability to turn written poetry into song melodies. I adopted a passion for writing in general and began writing lyrics and blending with electronic music. I would say it’s not that I pursued an artistic career, it’s a part of who I am and always has been. My inspiration continues to grow and I am excited to have created Tonic Toning, a sound therapy that scans the energy bodies with vocal toning and Crystal Singing Bowls.

Please tell us more about your business. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
In 2021, my wife, Taryn Wayne and I started M-Theory Space. This is a space with a concept that Taryn and I could combine our artistic passions (Dance, Singing, Hula Hooping, and Performing) with our spiritual practices (Reiki, Sound Baths, Guided Meditations, Vocal Toning, Movement Therapy, and Channeling).

We have been wanting to launch this concept for years, although have had to endure immense struggles. It was quite challenging to start a business in California during the economic downturn of covid and its aftermath. We continued to push and try new approaches. We eventually decided to host our gatherings for free to better serve the community in such tragic times. The gatherings have a donation base option because our goal was to help people through our energy work and desire to raise the vibration on the planet. This intention skyrocketed the company. We are grateful to be able to host our gatherings and have built our private client list. We’ve learned to persevere and be adaptable in any circumstance. Our multifaceted personalities allowed us to even launch a Podcast, Important Shi(f)t Podcast on Rumble and YouTube.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?
If I had friends visiting LA, there is so much to do! On Wednesday, we would hit up The Lighthouse Cafe. I sing and perform with South Bay Jam, a band that performs live every Wednesday at The Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa. It’s hosted by Barlcay Roach, Lead Guitarist/Singer and pillar in the South Bay music community. It also hs great food!

Thursday going into the weekend, I would take my friends out! The South Bay also has a phenomenal music scene, they host events throughout Riviera Village and depending on the week, we could go to Riviera Village Summer Festival, Fiesta Hermosa, Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music, and events at Saint Rocke in Hermosa. LA, being LA has nonstop events we would go to, events at Hollywood Bowl, Tech Me 2 Da Beach, Essence Music Festival, Whiskey A Go Go, and The Fonda Theatre.

Tuesday Night, we would keep the vibe going with Trop House Tuesdays at Tower 12 in Hermosa. Great DJs and delicious food!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my spouses, Taryn and Rage for always supporting my journey both professionally and personally. I wouldn’t be where I am today in my professional career without them. Rage has helped me stabilize during challenging times in my health and wellness journey. Taryn has given me the opportunity to be Assistant Director to M-Theory Dance Company which we have now expanded to M-Theory Space. Our company services include Reiki, Sound Baths, Alternative Health & Wellness practices, and we also host group spiritual gatherings!
