Meet Sarah Bulstrode | Co-Owner of Wildflower Honey Coffee

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Bulstrode and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Renea and I have worked with each-other for 15 years in the service industry, so starting our own cafe was one thing we always wanted. As Covid hit and things took a turn in the industry, we thought “what better time then now?” So with her background in baking and mine in coffee, we agreed to take the leap and start Wildflower Honey Coffee.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, Renea and I have worked in the customer service industry for 20+ years and together 15 years. So we knew automatically that would set us apart from so many others, because we’ve been in the industry, we know what people and customers want and expect out of a product and owners. So we put our love for coffee and people in to our products and it has been a success.
We are definitely most proud of the business as a whole. Who would have thought within a year, we would have produced a product we are proud of, have returning customers, bought a trailer and continue to keep going forward with new drinks and events. It’s definitely a journey but it’s worth it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love supporting small businesses, so we would definitely take them to a local PopUp event. Our local vendors have some of the BEST food, drinks and shopping around.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to thank everyone single person has shown us support on this journey. It hasn’t been an easy one, and we know people probably thought we were crazy, but because of the support, we’ve been able to do it. The last year has been more then we could’ve expected.
